Fortnite's The Foundation skin has been put into the Battle Pass, and now players have the opportunity to complete a total of 11 quests to unlock additional cosmetic items. There are two pages total for The Foundation skin first has six new items, and the second has five. To access the second page, items will first have to be claimed from page one to unlock.
With just a few games of Fortnite, players should complete these challenges. Some are pretty self-explanatory, while others require some thought before jumping out of the Battle Bus. Of course, these quests are some of the more highly rewarded ones amongst them all, as players will be granted access to an emote, which The Foundation will remove his mask and display the iconic 'Peoples Eyebrow'- made famous by The Rock.
The quests will grant players four outfit styles, three emotes, a Foundation weapon wrap, back bling, a pickaxe, and a glider. These challenges will keep players busy, as there are a lot of quests to power through. Below is a rundown of all quests and the easiest way to be completed.
The 11 Foundation Quests In Fortnite
- Visit Mighty Monument, a Seven Outpost, and Sanctuary: On the east side of the Fortnite map, players can locate both The Sanctuary and Mighty Monument, alongside two potential Seven Outposts to help complete this quest. If players land at the Sanctuary straight off the Battle Bus, on route to the Mighty Monument, there are two islands in the middle of the water, which both have Outposts. This will be a relatively easy quest to complete as all of the needed locations are very close in distance. This quest will grant players the original Foundation skin.
- Search chests or ammo boxes at Covert Cavern: Ammo boxes and chests are located all over the Fortnite map. This quest requires players to open a total of three chests and ammo boxes in the newly added POI - Covert Cavern. The base inside of this POI is swarming with IO Guards, so it is essential players have at least one weapon before exploring. The vault inside of Covert Cavern is a great place to find at least eight ammo boxes alongside supply drops and where to find IO chests. Sneaking through the vents might also be a route that players wish to take in completing this chest if they do not want to get involved in a battle, as the vents are a great place to stack up on loot while keeping it low-key. Upon completion, players will be rewarded the Foundation's Fortune emote.
- Use shield potions in a single match: For this challenge, players will have to drink a total of four shield potions in a single game. Fortnite is filled with different heals, from foraged items to the newly added shield keg. Players can tie in completing this challenge with the previous one, involving Covert Cavern. If minis two stacks of minis are found, players can easily complete this quest with the help of IO Guards. IO Guards are a lot less threatening than other players, making them a great choice when completing this challenge. If players drink two mini shield potions, take some damage from IO Guards, then top off with another mini and repeat the process, this quest will be completed. The reward for this quest is The Foundation spray emote.
- Deal melee damage to opponents: Damaging other players with a pickaxe is what Fortnite considers melee damage. Pickaxing other players may be more easily achieved in duos, trios, or squads. With downing a player, there is a window of time when they will be knocked and crawling around until revived. This is the perfect opportunity for pickaxing. Whereas in solos, when a player loses all HP, they will die instantly, so the option to pickaxe a player to death is no longer there. Having a team around to protect a player while they pickaxe downed players seems like the best way to complete this challenge. A total of 100 damage will have to be inflicted for the quest to be completed, and players will be rewarded with Foundations Plasma Spike Pickaxe.
- Snipe an opponent with a Sniper Rifle while crouching: This quest is one of the easier ones involving sniper rifles. In the past, there have been some pretty demanding quests involving sniper rifles, so if players aren't confident with snipers, they will not be completed most of the time. For players who aren't big fans of the sniper rifle in Fortnite, Team Rumble will for sure be the way to go with this quest. This quest doesn't require a specific amount of damage or kills; even inflicting one damage will complete the quest for you. Team Rumble has more AFK players than Battle Royale, so the perfect opportunity for a snipe will arise if players keep an eye out. Foundation Mantle back bling will be rewarded upon completion.
- Hire a Character and travel 1000 meters with them: As the name of this quest suggests, a lot of traveling will be required for this quest. The Fortnite map features eight NPC's that players can hire to assist them during battle, at a cost, of course. To hire an NPC, players will have to hand over 95 gold, and then they are at the players' command. All that's left to do is keep them alive until the 1,000 meters of travel is up. It would be a good idea to keep on the edge of the storm as it closes. This way, players can know no one will sneak up behind them and get themselves eliminated. This quest will grant players with The Foundation wrap.
- Assist in eliminating Gunnar: Gunnar is the boss that can be found inside of Covert Cavern. He has a lot of HP, but lucky for players this quest only requires for damage to be done, not to eliminate him alone. Players can shoot Gunnar one time and run away as no specified damage has to be done. However, this will only count as long as the player can stay alive long enough for someone else to eliminate him. This may be another quest that players may find easier to tackle in either duos, trios, or squads, as if multiple players attack Gunnar together, he will be a lot easier to take down. Completing this quest rewards players with an emote.
- Deal headshot damage to players with common or uncommon weapons: A hefty amount of 500 damage has to be done to opponents with uncommon and common weapons for players to be rewarded for this quest. Players should look for green or grey weapons to hold onto while completing this quest. As this quest requires enough damage to eliminate five players, it may be best to complete this quest in Team Rumble. With unlimited respawns until the game is over, one game in the Team Rumble game mode should be enough time for players to complete this quest. The Foundation Combat Elite skin variant will be unlocked when completing this quest.
- Deal damage to opponents from above with Shotguns or SMGs: Damage from above can be a tricky thing to do, so for this quest, high ground will be essential. Thanks to the skyscrapers, places such as Tilted Towers and The Daily Bugle are hotspots for damage from above. Platers will have to deal a total of 1,000 damage to opponents using either shotguns or an SMG, the new mythic SMG would be an amazing gun to have on hand. Landing on the roof of a building grants players immediate high ground, which is always an advantage, especially for this challenge. This quest is also one that may be better to complete in Team Rumble, as a lot of builds usually accumulate over time in this game mode-perfect for high-ground shots. The Foundation Tactical skin style will be unlocked after this quest is completed.
- Land at a Seven Outpost and finish top 10: For this quest, players will be required to complete it twice to be seen as completed. Luckily there are many options to choose from when picking an outpost. Depending on the route of the Battle Bus, the Outpost players decide to land at will be different. It is important here to pick the furthest away Outpost off the center trail of the bus, as these will most likely be less busy. The key to completing this quest is not dying off spawn, creeping around the map, and avoiding popular POIs until you have reached the top 10, so avoiding Tilted Towers should be high on a players list. Fortnite games are unpredictable, so landing far from action may be the best way to go. The Rocket Wing glider will be rewarded upon completion of this quest.
- Complete all of The Foundation quests: To round everything off, all that is needed from players to finish The Foundation quests is to complete all 11 quests. Of course, the order in which these quests are met does not affect this challenge, so it will be up to players to choose the route they take. And for the grand prize, the completed quest will reward players with the final cosmetic - The Foundation Combat skin style.
Fortnite's collaboration with The Rock to produce The Foundation skin and cosmetics received a lot of positive feedback, an iconic moment for the Fortnite community. It's a good idea to be prepared when tackling these challenges, as there will be a lot of other players headed onto the map to get them completed. With leaks constantly being published, now is the time we can expect to be seeing hints around the map that suggest what may happen in the new season, as it's not a long wait to go now.
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
