Epic Games has decided to delay the end of Fortnite Season 4 and its massive Marvel superhero crossover by about one month, meaning players get a little extra time to keep grinding for XP toward reaching the higher Tiers of the Battle Pass. During these extra weeks of play, there won't be any more Weekly Challenges for players to complete, nor will players find any new XP Coins around the map. Instead, players can participate in the XP Xtravaganza challenges. These are challenges that are structurally similar to the Overtime challenges from previous seasons, and players have the option of completing them with a partner, a full squad, or alone. Each of the five challenges per week takes place in three stages, with players only allowed to complete one stage per match. Upon completing every stage of each challenge, players will earn 20,000 XP toward their Battle Pass. Each week, there will be one challenge that's a little more difficult than the others which will award 50,000 XP upon completion.

Given the Battle Pass ends at Tier 220 with the Wolverine holo-foil skin style, players are going to want to try and earn as much XP as possible to finish unlocking it. One of the XP Xtravaganza challenges this week asks players to go through rifts. These are portals that look like broken glass, and they can be found all around the Fortnite map, typically at Marvel-themed POIs. They will launch players into the air and allow them to use a glider to get around the map and evade enemies. There are three different ways a player or squad must use rift portals to complete this challenge's stages. Here's the location of every rift on the Fortnite map and what players need to do to complete the three stages of this challenge.

The rift locations for Fortnite Season 4 have not changed since the last time players were tasked with using them back in Week 8. The map above, created by gameradar, shows their approximate locations. To find them on the map, players should head to the following places:

  • Near the Trask Transport Truck east of Coral Castle (C1)
  • East of Doom's Domain, just on the border with Stark Industries (E2)
  • North of Stark Industries, just south of Craggy Cliffs (E2)
  • Outside Stark Industries, west of Steamy Stacks (G2)
  • East of the main Stark Industries building (G2)
  • Southwest of Stark Industries (E4)
  • West of Weeping Woods near Heroes Park (D5)
  • Northwest of Holly Hedges near Ant Manor (B5 and C5)
  • West of Misty Meadows near Panther's Prowl (D7 and E7)
  • East of Catty Corner at The Collection, the Collector's Museum (H6 and H7)

Because some of the rifts are off the ground, players may need to build ramps to reach them.

During the first stage of the challenge, players or teams will need to use 10 rifts. If players are working in a Squad, they can split these so that two players take three rifts each that are near each other (such as the ones at Stark Industries or Doom's Domain), and two players take two rifts each that may be more spaced out. As a solo player, this may be more difficult to complete in a single match, and players may need two or three matches to finish stage one.

In the second stage, players need to drive cars or trucks through 10 rifts. This becomes a little more difficult because cars and trucks are apt to run out of gas frequently, and it is not always easy to tell where they will spawn. Thankfully, there are usually a few vehicles at Stark Industries in the parking lot of the main building, and there is usually a car near the Trask Transport Truck. Players working in teams will again want to split up and get four separate vehicles to cover more ground. When the two players only using two rifts finish theirs, they can meet up with their other teammates to help defend them or grab gas and help them finish.

For the third stage, players will need to use 10 rifts in a single match. Like the first stage, this can be easily done in a team of four as long as players split up. If a player is flying solo, they will want to take advantage of the air they get when going through a rift and aim for the next ones. The longer they stay in the air, the easier it will be to evade enemy fire, and the better chance the player has to complete the challenge. They'll also want to be careful and use rifts on the outer edge of the island first so they can move with the storm and not get caught in it. XP is rewarded once all three stages have been completed.
