Players have uncovered new Fortnite content hinting that Eminem could be headlining the free-to-play game's next musical event and possibly become a playable skin. The monstrously popular battle royale game has grown so much that it's evolved from being a multiplayer shooter into one of the world's most prominent marketing tools. The game has crossed over with dozens of franchises like Marvel, DC, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, and many more. Most recently, Fortnite included Naruto and announced a Dragon Ball crossover releasing on August 16th.While many fans wonder how many more crossovers could fit into the game, Epic Games continues to add more than character skins to the Fortnite experience. Several digital concerts have taken place in the game, which offered a safe place for fans to come together and listen to music during the height of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Famous artists like Marshmello and Ariana Grande provided their likeness to the game. They helped deliver a musical experience that included never-before-seen special effects, and a level of immersion digital concerts had not yet reached. Both artists became playable skins after their digital concert events. Another large-scale musical event may be just around the corner, judging from newly discovered music playing on Fortnite's in-gaming radio station.Related: Fortnite's Dragon Ball Z Collab Is Pointless If There's No KamehamehaThis past weekend, Fortnite players noticed the in-game ICONS radio station had begun to only play Eminem songs, leading many to believe the accomplished musician could be headlining the game's next large-scale digital concert. As reported by ComicBook, the discovery was posted by HYPEX (via InTheShadYT) on Twitter with a list of every Eminem song that can currently be heard in the game. There has not yet been any official announcement of a Fortnite Eminem musical event, still, the developers have become experts at teasing new content with updates that contain clues for future content.

Will The Real Slim Shady Be In Fortnite?

Previous musical performances hosted in Fortnite helped convince people worldwide that digital concerts could be something special. Almost any special effect can be designed into the game and customized to create a musical performance like nothing else. In Fortnite's digital concerts, players can watch gigantic character models of their favorite artists singing their favorite songs. While at the same time, gravity shifts to match musical drops, all while being engulfed by a laser light show. This is, of course, something that can't be experienced in the real world. While it's unlikely Fortnite will become the pinnacle of digital media events, the game has paved the way for future entertainment opportunities.

Besides adding almost every popular character from pop culture to Fortnite, like Spider-Man and Goku, developers have also made some drastic changes to the gameplay. The now permanent Zero Build mode, Grapple Glove, and inclusion of a variety of vehicles have transformed Fortnite into a very different feeling game than when it first launched in 2017. Time will tell how long the F2P shooter will continue to resonate with players. Still, suppose developers keep raising the bar and deliver exciting and unique experiences. In that case, Fortnite could continue to be popular for years to come.
