Warning! Spoilers for Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #4 below.

Deathstroke will be the latest character to join the upcoming DC Comics and Epic Games crossover, Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point. On Friday, DC revealed Slade Wilson will arrive on Fornite's Island in the comic series' fourth issue and readers will be able to redeem an in-game item by getting the issue. Deathstroke is the latest popular comic book hero to be teased for the comic series, which also has teased non-DC heroes appearing in the event.

DC Comics and Epic Games announced the six-issue comic book crossover earlier this year. The comic will see Batman pulled into a mysterious portal that leaves him on Fortnite's Island. Once on the island, Batman will have no recollection of his memories or how he got there. The Dark Knight won't be the only DC character transported to the world of Fortnite, as both Harley Quinn and Catwoman will also be featured in the series. It was also revealed Snakeyes from the G.I. Joe series will face off against Batman in issue three of the series.

In Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #4 by Christos Gage, Christian Duce, Nelson Faro DeCastro, John Kalisz, and Donald Mustard, Deathstroke will show up on the island and cause major problems from Batman and Catwoman. Preview pages show Deathstroke fighting the pair of heroes, while it seems he could be working alongside Fortnite Islands inhabitants. Batman will also be struck with past memories causing him serious discomfort. The preview also includes covers from Mikel Janin and Mustard below.

Readers of the series will also be able to get a digital cosmetic item through a redeemable code for the issue. For those who purchase the issue physically, or read it for free with a subscription to DC Universe Infinite (in the U.S.), they'll be able to unlock Deathstroke's Destroyer Glider, which can be worn in-game. Each issue comes with a cosmetic item that can be redeemed and those who get all six codes will be able to unlock a new Armored Batman Zero skin.

It seems that DC Comics and Epic Games are really going all-out to make Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point an enjoyable experience for both comic book readers and gamers. Adding in-game cosmetics with each issue is a brilliant way to get readers to start playing Fortnite and get gamers to take a chance on the issues. Batman and Fortnite might seem like an odd pairing - but from everything previewed so far, the story is shaping up to be really fun. Deathstroke will officially arrive on Fortnite Island when the fourth issue comes out later this year. Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #1 will come to comic shops on April 21, 2021.
