Now that the Deadpool skin has officially released in Fortnite, what more could players possibly want? Well, how about a hideously disfigured skin variant depicting an unmasked Deadpool. Fortnite has already offered players a variety of Deadpool themed items to players who have bought the battle pass, and last week (Chapter 2 Season 2 Week 7) players were granted the opportunity to unlock the man, the myth, the legend... Deadpool.
And while many Fortnite players thought the fun would stop there, the Deadpool themed items are still rolling in. The week 8 Deadpool challenges are identical to those of the previous weeks. Players will need to find a Deadpool themed item somewhere hidden in Fortnite and then drop down onto Battle Island and perform a simple task. After completing both tasks players will be rewarded with the unmasked skin variant for the Deadpool skin.
Finding Deadpool's Floaty in Fortnite
First, players will need to find a hidden Deadpool themed item, this week's item being Deadpool's Floaty. The item is similar to the iconic Unicorn floaty introduced in previous seasons of Fortnite but the color scheme is changed to Deadpool's red and black.
Players may have already found Deadpool's floaty as it has already been added to the game as a part of the Deadpool themed update released last week. The update changed various aspects of the game cosmetically as a part of the Deadpool event including the battle bus, supply drops, and a complete overhaul of The Yacht. The Yacht is a new POI added in Chapter 2 Season 2.
The Floaty can be found on the back of The Yacht resting on a lounge chair. Players will need to land on The Yacht and collect the Floaty in order to complete the first part of the Deadpool Week 8 Challenges.
Dancing on Deadpool's Yacht in Fortnite
Luckily, players will not need to travel far - or at all- to complete the next challenge. The second part of the week 8 challenges requires players to dance at Deadpool's Yacht party. As the player may have guessed, the Yacht Party is taking place at The Yacht which is where the players just found Deadpool's floaty.
All a player needs to do after collecting the Floaty is bust a move (perform an emote) while on The Yacht and phase two of Deadpool's week 8 challenges are complete.
In prior weeks players needed to complete both challenges to receive the Deadpool themed item. However, to unlock the skin variant players only need to complete one of the two tasks.
