Some pretty interesting weapons have been added to Fortnite over its 15 seasons, but a dataminer has recently uncovered some of the wackiest weapons to grace the world's most popular battle royale. These weapons aren't insanely overpowered like the Infinity Blade or Boombox, but they do have the power to make opponents keel over in laughter.

While one of the most popular and competitive modern-day video games, Fortnite has made a point to introduce and remove weapons and items quite frequently. These loot pool changes can have ranging effects on the game anywhere from completely shifting the meta to introducing a useless item. Some items are meant to be more of a gimmick than a game changer. The snowball launchers freeze an enemy's feet, the Boogie Bomb forces players to dance, and the Mythic Goldfish is more of a prize for persistent fishers.

However, none of the weapons that have been introduced thus far have come close to the wacky nature of the Gnome Gun and Troll Launcher. A notable Fortnite leaker known as Ximton on Twitter posted footage using the aforementioned weapons which he was able to datamine from the game's files. The first weapon is called the Gnome Gun, which is a desert eagle firearm that uses gnome statues as ammunition. The second is a rocket launcher named the Troll Launcher. While the video clip doesn't appear to show trolls being launched from the weapon, the weapon's description reads "Heavy Weapon. Launches explosive trolls - what more could you want?" implying that trolls were meant to be launched before the weapon was scrapped.

While the Troll Launcher seems like it came from left field, Fortnite uses gnome statues quite often to tell side stories. Gnomes have been a part of Fortnite since Chapter 1 with various challenges being tied to finding hidden giggling gnomes. In Fortnite Chapter 2, gnomes took on a more prominent role when starting a war with stuffed teddy bears. Since the war's end, gnomes have faded to the background once again, but they can still be found scattered around The Island.

Fortnite fans may never get their hands on weapons that shoot any sort of creature, but it would be great if they did, especially since these two weapons are already in the game's files. They could be released for a few days close to April 1st, or they could be used exclusively for creative modes. Regardless, Fortnite needs to allow players to shoot each other with gnomes if for nothing more than a hilariously good time.
