The God of Mischief will receive a Fortnite Crew skin in July, according to a Loki tease the development team at Epic Games just shared. That the character will soon debut in the ever-popular online title may not surprise fans, considering an outline of Loki recently appeared in loading screen art for Fortnite Season 7.
Plus, such an addition to the battle royale's constantly expanding roster makes all of the sense in the world at present. Disney+ subscribers have spent the last few weeks reacquainting themselves with the trickster thanks to the Loki TV series. The first episode hit the streaming service on June 9, only a couple of weeks after the Asgardian surfaced in the aforementioned Fortnite tease. Fortunately, the wait for his arrival is nearly at an end, though specifics remain under wraps for the time being.
The official Fortnite Twitter account recently posted a photo of Loki's horns, simply informing fans of the character's impending arrival in July as a part of Fortnite Crew. At the time of writing, details such as the look of the new costume and the character pack's contents have yet to surface. See the post in question below:
Loki will no doubt prove an exciting addition to Fortnite's growing roster of crossover characters, especially since several other Marvel heroes and villains have previously made their in-game debut. Notably, the likes of Galactus, Thor, Iron Man, She-Hulk, and Doctor Doom took part in Season 4's Nexus War event. Not to mention Thanos joined the fray in Season 7 only a few short days ago. With Loki now on track to arrive in the near future, who knows which other Marvel characters may enter the mix somewhere down the line?
As for the way in which the trickster will launch, Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service that Epic Games billed as the "ultimate Fortnite offer." At the price of $11.99 per month, Fortnite Crew subscribers gain access to the current season's Battle Pass, a monthly reward of 1,000 V-Bucks, and the monthly Crew Pack that boasts an exclusive costume bundle. The outfit bundle itself usually packs in an outfit, an emote, and one matching accessory. Fans can probably guess what Loki's pack will feature.
