Fortnite is a constantly evolving game that generates neverending tasks such as the new creative vault codes for players to decipher. Although it initially seems brain wracking, figuring out the codes are actually fairly straight forward.

Being first released on July 21, 2017, by Epic Games, Fortnite is a co-operative shooter that comes in three different modes; Fortnite: Creative, Fortnite: Save The World, and Fortnite: Battle Royale. Although all these modes are popular in their own right, Battle Royale is considered the crown jewel for this title generating a player-base of 125 million strong. Being a hybrid of construction and shooter genres, fans of games like Minecraft or Gears of War flocked to Fortnite due to its charming and fresh design. This game bears a loose narrative when it comes to story-telling by adding new content with seasonal updates. The last major update was the addition of Fortnite: Creative (that was first released on December 6, 2018) during Season 6 after a "black hole event" basically rebooted the entire game and started anew.

Fortnite: Creative is gaining momentum in popularity because of the freedom it provides. With this mode, players have access to their own island to use as a sandbox and build their own map. Although certain perimeters need to be adhered to, players can construct pretty much whatever they want and have up to 16 players invited to their island to play with. Now on Chapter 2-Season 2, the latest update has introduced a slick agent-themed hub that echos such games as Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. When this season launched, players naturally explored the new hub in a gleeful delight while finding new items and gaining their bearings. Of course, it wasn't long until players began scratching their heads after discovering the "creative vaults" that are lined up on the second floor.

Solving The Creative Vault Codes In Fortnite

Fortnite Vault Codes Search

It's important not to get flustered when encountering the first creative vault, which is stumping players. When observing the vault, astute players will see a 'text bubble' appear when they meet any terminal on the wall. They will either say, "first digit", "second digit", "third digit" or "fourth digit" depending on which terminal is approached. What this means is that there will be clues scattered throughout the hub that will give vague interpretations of what digit (or number) players are looking for. This could be figured out by either simply counting particular objects, or just finding hidden numbers somewhere.

First Digit

  • When exploring the hub, players will notice a large screen that says, "Prototype Z56" that's hanging in the main lobby area. Nearby, will be another monitor that says, "1.1 # of green crates in storage" that's on the wall above a control panel. In order to find the answer, run upstairs from the left side of the "Prototype W20 Screen" in the lobby, and make way to the second door on the right. There will be a vent inside. Crawl into it and sneak through the shaft by going left. Eventually, players will fall down into a storage area with 'green crates' stacked in the corner. Simply, count the crates, and players will find the number will be seven.

Second Digit

  • Make a way out of the storage room by backtracking the way players came in. Go back into the main lobby and find the area where pistols and items are displayed. On the wall, players will see another monitor that says, "1.2 # of starfish". Run up the stairs again and there will be no doubt players will see a helicopter sitting on a pad. To the left of it will be a corridor that has many doors. Run down the corridor and enter the first door on the left. Upon entry, players will see starfishes stuck to the wall. Just count them and the number will be three.

Third Digit

  • Backtrack toward the same room that had the vent that leads to the storage room for the first clue. Enter the room to the 'right' of that particular room in the hallway. Players will notice that this room has a 'medieval theme' to it. The main thing to look for is a 'knight holding a shield' that's painted on a wall to the left upon entry. This room has a computer on a desk. Carefully look at the monitor and it will say, "1.3 # of agents divided by 2". Now, there are two ways to find out the number of agents. One is by going up to the second floor and there will be a 'retina scanning device' hiding on a corner to the left. Players can stand in front of it and have their retinas scanned, which will open the door next to them. This will be a secret room that has three large monitors on the wall with a control panel in front of them. Players just need to approach the control panel and push the "de-classify secret agents" button. Names will show up on the monitors. Just count the names and there will eighteen of them. Divide that number by two and the number will be nine. The alternate way to get this number is by running into the different offices on the second floor and counting the beds. Players will see that there are eighteen beds in total. Choosing which way to get the number is purely up to the player's discretion.

Fourth Digit

  • Players will need to go back to the helicopter that they saw at the beginning of this scavenger hunt. Behind the helicopter, there will be a small office area. Go into the office and read what's on the computer monitor. Players will notice that it will say a cryptic, "1.4 # of pistols displayed". Run back into the display room where players found the "starfish" clue earlier. This will be the "display room" for guns and items. Be sure to count only the guns in this room. When done, the number should be four.

So, all the numbers stack up as 7394. This is how players can unravel this mystery step-by-step. Given that this is a new map, it is a bit daunting figuring out exactly where to go. Of course, players will most likely have no qualms into exploring a new area for a new season with Fortnite. There much fun to be had in not only playing matches but also customizing characters and maps. With this new season firing off, there is much speculation on where things could go next.
