After completing several espionage quests for Dr. Slone in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 7, players will need to converse with every non-aggressive NPC to find and eliminate an Infiltrator. Unlike previous Fortnite seasons, in which players would only experience the main story in loading screens, Season 7's Legendary Quests let players take a more active role and participate in the events of the Alien Invasion. Dr. Slone usually leads these quests, starting with orders from a payphone and continuing into a series of related activities that should help combat the Alien Invasion. In Week 8 of Fortnite Season 7, players will need to determine which of the beloved NPCs around the map has been replaced by an Infiltrator and defeat them to complete this week's Legendary Questline.

The Fortnite Infiltrators players will need to identify in each match appear at random, so it will be difficult if not impossible to know exactly which characters will be the imposters. Additionally, because the NPCs are fairly spread across the map, it may be difficult for players to complete this quest in a single match. Players will earn a generous amount of XP for completing this last activity for Slone this week. Here's how to converse with NPCs and identify an infiltrator in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 7.

Talk to Non-Aggressive NPCs to Identify the Infiltrator in Fortnite Season 7

To identify Infiltrators in Week 8 of Fortnite Season 7, players will need to revisit nearly all the NPCs they added to their Character Collection at the start of Season 7. The only ones players ought to avoid are the aggressive NPCs who will attack on sight. These include Guggimon, Zyg and Choppy, Dr. Slone, and Riot. These characters are least likely to be an Infiltrator, and players will waste time fighting if they choose to speak to these four characters.

Players can visit and speak with the following NPCs at the following Fortnite locations:

  • Abstrakt: Retail Row
  • Human Bill: Steamy Stacks
  • Sunny: Believer Beach
  • Bunker Jonesy: Lumber Lodge
  • Bushranger: In the woods west of Risky Reels and north of The Aftermath
  • Dreamflower: Flopper Pond
  • Joey: Believer Beach

  • Hayseed: Steel Farm
  • Marigold: Lazy Lake
  • Maven: Dinky Dish
  • Rick Sanchez: Defiant Dish
  • Rook: Dockside Dish
  • Special Forces: **Redacted**
  • Swamp Stalker: Slurpy Swamp
  • Kymera: Coral Castle

Each NPC tends to wander their location, so players will need to pay attention to their minimap to find each one. They will appear as speech bubbles with three dots in the center. Normally, the conversations with these NPCs will be mundane as ever. However, every so often, players will notice the NPCs appear glitchy. They may also notice that strange words are highlighted in red, or that the NPC emphasizes the fact that the player is also human. These are signs that the character is actually an Infiltrator in disguise.

Although it is usually randomized, there are five characters who appear to be the most frequent Infiltrators in a given match. These include Sunny, Joey, Human Bill, Bunker Jonesy, and Abstrakt. Players may want to prioritize speaking with these characters first, as they offer the best chance of helping players complete the quest quickly.

To discover an Infiltrator, players must converse with the character. After completing all the dialogue prompts with an Infiltrator, players will see a Reveal Infiltrator dialogue option appear. Choosing this option will cause the alien Trespasser masquerading as the NPC to attack, and players will need to defeat it in combat. Though they may need to converse with multiple NPCs, once players successfully reveal and defeat an Infiltrator, the quest will automatically complete. Players will earn 30,000 XP toward their Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass for completing this final Week 8 Legendary Quest.

While this quest should not take players long to complete, it may be a good idea to converse with NPCs and identify the Infiltrator in Fortnite's Team Rumble Mode, despite its recent changes. This way, players can respawn and continue the quest if they are eliminated by opponents or IO Guards and give themselves a little more time to get around the map to the multiple NPCs.
