During Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7, the Legendary Quests come from Bushranger, who wants to befriend the Aliens by caring for and raising Alien Parasites. To do this, players will need to construct a Hatchery somewhere on the Fortnite island that can be used to raise Alien eggs. For the last few weeks of Fortnite Season 7, the Legendary Quests have served a larger purpose; rather than simply offering players a way to earn XP for completing various in-game activities, they have also helped progress the main story of the season. Constructing a Hatchery is the first Legendary Quest players can access in Week 7, and it is a fairly simple one to complete.

There are three possible locations where players can build a Hatchery in Fortnite Season 7, all inside small wooden shacks on the coasts of the island. All three spots appear as a blue silhouette to show players where to build the object. Players only need to construct one of these to complete the challenge and start earning bonus XP toward their Season 7 Battle Pass this week. Here are all the possible locations where players can build a Hatchery in Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7.

A player infected by an Alien Parasite in Fortnite Season 7

To construct a Hatchery in Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7, players will need to select one of three locations along the island's coast. Each of these locations will have a small wooden shack. Inside these structures, players will find a blue silhouette of what appears to be a hay-filled cradle, presumably where Bushranger would like to put Alien Parasite eggs. The locations include:

  • On the small island northeast of Stealthy Stronghold and northwest of Craggy Cliffs.
  • On the small island directly south of Slurpy Swamp.
  • On the hills southeast of Retail Row, on the southeastern coast of the map.

Generally, the northern island is easiest to reach, but players should select the build site closest to where they would like to be during a match.

Similar to build quests in previous weeks, like placing Prepper Supplies or Missing Person signs, to construct a Hatchery, players simply need to approach the blue silhouette and interact with it. They may need to have some wood materials on them, though it is not yet clear if that is a true requirement to complete this challenge.

Because there are only a few locations where players can construct their hatchery during Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7, it is likely the area will see more traffic than usual. It may be a good idea for players to land at one of these three spots directly from the Battle Bus. That way, they can beat opponents inside and pick up the gear typically located in each wooden hut to defend themselves against trouble. They can also try to complete the challenge in the updated Team Rumble Mode rather than a typical match.

Once the hatchery has been built in one of these three locations in Fortnite, players will earn 45,000 XP and will have the opportunity to move on to the next Legendary Quest in the series. Bushranger will continue to ask players for help making peace with the Aliens, tasking them with the following:

  • Mark an Alien Egg
  • Collect records from Pleasant Park or Craggy Cliffs
  • Stoke campfires near different hatcheries
  • Collect parenting books from Holly Hatchery or Retail Row

Players will need to complete these quests in order, making it more difficult to do more than one or two in a single game. Players should also always be on the lookout for opportunities to complete Epic Quests or find Season 7 Week 7 Alien Artifacts.
