Ferraris have made their debut in Fortnite Season 7, and one Week 7 Epic Quest has players test their speed in a Time Trial. Time Trials have been a frequent mechanic in Fortnite Chapter 2. During a Time Trial, players will typically swim, sail, or drive from a glowing stopwatch icon through various checkpoints and must do so within the time limit to pass the trial. The Week 7 Ferrari Time Trial is part of a small series of Epic Quests meant to show off the mechanics of the recently added Ferrari 296 GTB, Fortnite's first officially licensed car. Players can not only get a chance to speed around in one of the most famous cars in the world, but will also receive some XP to boost their Battle Pass.

There are three possible locations players can go to complete a Time Trial in a Ferrari 296 GTB during Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7, and all three are fairly close to one another. Players will want to find one of the few Ferrari 296 GTBs that spawn during any given match, drive it to the location of a Time Trial, fuel up, and then complete the course within the time limit. They will need to be careful about trying to take the car off-road or use its speed boosts. Here's how to complete the Ferrari 296 GTB Time Trial in Week 7 of Fortnite Season 7.

Where to Find Ferrari 296 GTB Time Trials in Fortnite Season 7

A Ferrari 296 GTB in Fortnite

The Ferrari 296 GTB Time Trials in Fortnite, like Time Trials from previous seasons, are announced by a large, glowing stopwatch symbol in midair. During Week 7 and through the end of Season 7, players will find these symbols at three locations in the southern part of the island. These include:

  • A Lot O' Auto: At the Auto Dealership on the northeast side of Lazy Lake
  • Garage: At the Garage on the bridge near the river on the north side of Slurpy Swamp
  • Durrr Burger: On the west side of Weeping Woods, just south of Holly Hatchery

Players may want to consider landing at the Auto Dealership in Lazy Lake directly from the Battle Bus. There is usually a Ferrari that spawns at or near this location, which should help players get a head start on finding a Ferrari to use in this challenge. Players can also reliably find a Ferrari somewhere at Believer Beach, usually in front of the hotel or at the gas station, and in various Garages across the island. Some players have also reported finding one in a parking garage at Holly Hatchery, and another on the bridge east of Slurpy Swamp.

It has become difficult to find Ferraris in Fortnite during Week 7. This is likely because they are so new and spawn so sparsely, and because every player has received the same Epic Quests. Players may have to try a few times and a few different game modes, including Team Rumble, to find a Ferrari 296 GTB they can use for this and other Ferrari challenges. Thankfully, the Epic Quests will stay active until the end of the season, giving players plenty of time to complete the activities and earn their XP before Season 8.

Before starting the Time Trial, players should make sure they fuel up. The Ferrari 296 GTB takes a lot of gas, especially at high speeds or when players choose to use the Boost ability. To avoid the risk of running out of gas in the middle of the Time Trial, players should avoid Boost if possible and make sure they have a full or nearly full tank before starting out.

It is also possible to modify a Ferrari 296 GTB with off-road tire upgrades. These modifications can allow players to shave time off their Time Trial by taking brief shortcuts through grassy areas. It is best to do this sparingly, however, as, like other sports cars, the Ferrari 296 GTB is not built to drive on anything but pavement, and it is easy for players to lose control off-road.

To complete the Ferrari 296 GTB Time Trial in Fortnite Season 7, players must start at the glowing stopwatch in any of the three locations. They will then need to drive to each of the floating, blue waypoints in the allotted time. There should be plenty of time to hit every waypoint without needing to use Boost, but if players struggle to find the next waypoint or get slowed down, they can repeat the Time Trial as often as needed until they succeed. They only need to complete a single Time Trial to finish the quest. Once the Trial has been completed, players will earn 30,000 XP toward their Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass.
