Beast Boy is the next DC hero to join the Fortnite roster after a teaser on the game’s official Twitter page. Fortnite has added new heroes from DC as a part of the DC Series in the store. At the start of Season 6, Raven joined the game as part of the battle pass. In addition to her traditional costume, her casual and DC Rebirth styles are also available. Most recently, Epic added Harley Quinn and Batman Zero in conjunction with the company’s comic with DC.

In April 2021, Epic and DC launched a collaborative six-issue comic series called Batman/Fortnite Zero Point. The series follows Batman as he arrives on the island through an interdimensional rift. Each issue has a redeemable code for an item in the Fortnite shop, such as the Harley Quinn Rebirth outfit. Collecting all six issues will give a bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit. The final issue releases July 6, 2021.

The official Fortnite Twitter page uploaded three new comic panels featuring Raven from the Teen Titans. In the panels, Raven says that she needs help and that there is only one person she trusts. That person is none other than fellow Teen Titan Beast Boy, whom Raven summons to the island. Beast Boy arrives, sporting his traditional Doom Patrol outfit, and holds hands with Raven. All this indicates that Beast Boy will be the next DC hero entering the island as a playable character.

Beast Boy and Raven have much history together. Starting as teammates and progressing to lovers, the two have had a close relationship in most iterations of the Teen Titans franchise. The two got together again in the comics after DC Comics artist Gabriel Picolo depicted them as a couple in an Instagram post in 2020. The post became canonical after Picolo partnered with writer Kami Garcia and was given the go-ahead by DC to launch a new series exploring their relationship.

With Beast Boy joining the roster, he will be the 13th DC character available as part of the DC Series. It will be interesting to see if Beast Boy only has one style or will feature an alternate outfit like his red and white suit or New 52 Ravager Beast Boy that turned him red. Regardless, Beast Boy’s addition shows how much of a fan favorite he is and how much DC and fans care about his relationship with Raven. The question now is whether or not any more Teen Titans will make their way to the island.
