Fortnite players already have access to several Batman villains heralded as Gotham's most dangerous, but there are several more deserving of a skin in the game. While some of Batman's most deadly foes, including the Joker and Poison Ivy are in Fortnite already, Batman's massive rogue's gallery of villains includes several more characters deserving of a spot on the roster. Fortnite and DC Comics seem to have a healthy relationship, with well over a dozen skins based on characters from DC Comics already available in the game, either purchasable with the in-game currency, V-Bucks, or earned through various seasons' battle passes. Adding new skins based on some of Batman's most popular villains could help keep DC players interested in the game, along with pulling in new players that love Batman and DC Comics.

Characters from DC Comics first started to appear in Fortnite during Season X of Chapter 1 (the final chapter before the island was remade in Chapter 2). Comic book style skins for both Batman and Catwoman were added in September of 2019, alongside the appearance of Gotham City in Fortnite. This was only the beginning of several crossovers with DC Comics, with several skins being added for heroes and villains from both DC Comics' long history of comic books, as well of some inspired by some of DC Comics' films. Chapter 2, Season 3 of Fortnite even featured a heavy focus on Aquaman, based on Jason Momoa's portrayal of the character from the Aquaman film. Fortnite also used Green Arrow (based on his design from the CW show Arrow) for its January 2021 exclusive Fortnite Crew skin.

While Fortnite has released many different DC Comics skins, few have been as popular as the Joker and Poison Ivy, who were released as part of The Last Laugh bundle. The bundle, which also included a new skin for Fortnite villain Midas, was so popular it was released as a retail bundle for the game. The Last Laugh retail bundle for Fortnite would allow new fans to start the game with a skin for the Joker and Poison Ivy, who joined Harley Quinn and Catwoman as some of Batman's adversaries in the game. While the Joker is considered to be Batman's arch-nemesis and is his most popular villain amongst Batman fans, the Dark Knight has a long list of terrific, interesting, and dangerous villains that many fans would love to see in-game. While there are now a few great Batman villains in Fortnite, there are many more that deserve to have a place in Fortnite, where they can go toe-to-toe with several incarnations of the Dark Knight himself.

The Penguin Could Be Batman's Most Vicious Adversary In Fortnite

The Penguin is not only one of Batman's most popular foes, he's also one of his most vicious. While the Penguin is set to appear in Suicide Squad as his next in-game appearance, the character would make for a fantastic inclusion as a skin in Fortnite. Oswald Cobblepot - The Penguin - first appeared in Detective Comics #58 in 1941 and has since gone on to become one of Batman's greatest adversaries. The Penguin is a gangster who got his nickname due his short stature and black and white tuxedos that gave him an appearance that resembled a penguin. While the Penguin doesn't have any superpowers, he is more than a match for Batman thanks to the powerful criminal enterprise he runs through his nightclub, the Iceberg Lounge.

The Penguin has made several notable appearances in both video games and films. In Batman: Arkham City the Penguin displays his brutality through a sadistic museum that revealed he killed and stuffed Harley Quinn's beloved hyenas. He has also made memorable appearances in several Batman shows and films. Danny DeVito first played the Penguin in Batman Returns, with a version of the character that stuck close to the version from DC Comics. Robin Lord Taylor also portrayed a different version of the character in the show Gotham and Colin Farell will be taking on the role in the new film, The Batman. No matter which version of the Penguin Fortnite chooses to use, he would make a terrific addition to Fortnite's DC roster.

Two-Face Is An Underused Batman Villain That Would Be Great In Fortnite

Two-Face is a Batman villain who is surprisingly underused in video games, despite the character's popularity in DC Comics and in the Batman films. While some teases have indicated that Two-Face could appear in Gotham Knights, the character's appearances in video games have mostly been relegated to side missions or mini-boss fights. The character has had a much better run in Batman films. Aaron Eckhart's portrayal of Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight, as a good man who tragically went down a villainous path as Two-Face after his injury, was not only beloved by fans of the film but also informed many portrayals of the character in other media down the line. While games like Batman: Arkham City wrote Two-Face out of the story right off the bat, Fortnite could give the character the spotlight he deserves by adding him as a playable skin.

Batman himself has several playable skins in in-game, including Fortnite's own Batman: Zero Point design. Batman also features a skin based on his appearance from the film, The Dark Knight. Since the Batman skin in Fortnite offered an alternate option to give him the appearance of Christian Bale's Batman from The Dark Knight, a Harvey Dent/Two-Face skin could offer both a comic book skin as well as a skin based on The Dark Knight. This would allow fans to play as both the classic Two-Face design, which uses the purple, scarred design with the white hair, while also getting to choose his more realistic looking design with the burnt appearance, which has since been used in several of Harvey's modern appearances.

Scarecrow Can Instill Fear In His Opponents In Fortnite

The Scarecrow smiling in Batman The Animated Series

The Scarecrow is one of Batman's most terrifying villains and has a long and impressive history in both DC Comics and video games. Batman: Arkham Asylum's surreal Scarecrow sequences have inspired other games to feature similar boss fights that can be difficult to determine what's real and what isn't. While Scarecrow has also made several popular appearances in films and show such as Batman Begins and Titans, his terrifying and surreal design in the Batman: Arkham games have arguably been even more influential to the character's persona and have increased his popularity considerably. Since Scarecrow uses fear gas to induce hallucinations, his appearance can change drastically depending on what his victim fears the most.

While Batman: Arkham Asylum's Scarecrow design with a ragged mask and syringes for fingers is likely his most iconic design for gamers, Injustice 2's Scarecrow design is equally terrifying, with decaying flesh, torn clothes and noose around his neck, not to mention he wields a sickle on a chain. There are many unique and interesting designs that Fortnite could incorporate for its version of Scarecrow, or it could introduce its own unique take on the popular villain. Either way, Scarecrow, Penguin, and Two-Face would make for fantastic additions to Fortnite's growing list of DC and Batman skins. Perhaps the three villains would work best in a retail three-pack, similar to Fortnite's Last Laugh bundle that includes the Joker and Poison Ivy.
