The fifth season of Fortnite Chapter 2 is finally here and it features a crossover with the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian, but the crossover wouldn't be complete if it didn't include Baby Yoda. Technically, Baby Yoda's real name is The Child, and that is the name he goes by in Fortnite as well. Nonetheless, players can obtain Baby Yoda as a wearable cosmetic in Fortnite Season 5 with a little elbow grease or a lot of credits.

Baby Yoda is one of the main characters in The Mandalorian and is the driving force for the majority of what takes place in the series. For unknown reasons, The Mandalorian forms a close bond with The Child and swears to protect him no matter the cost. While The Mandalorian never intentionally takes Baby Yoda into the heat of battle, players can choose to do just that by unlocking the Baby Yoda back bling. Here is how to The Child back bling in Fortnite Season 5.

Unlock Baby Yoda Back Bling in Fortnite Season 5

There aren't any quests or hidden secrets involved in unlocking Baby Yoda in Fortnite Season 5, but players will have to put in some serious work. The Baby Yoda back bling is part of the Battle Pass rewards, and players will have to reach level 100 in order to unlock him. This requires either a lot of time, effort and hard work or a lot of money. Luckily, players can get a head start by purchasing 25 Battle Pass tiers for 1,800 V-Bucks, but there are still 75 tiers to go that won't be as easy or cheap to reach. Each tier costs 150 V-Bucks if the player chooses to purchase tiers instead of leveling up. That equals out to 11,250 V-Bucks after the initial 1,800 for 25 tiers.

Normally, special back blings are locked behind hidden challenges that unlock week after week, but Season 5 is pretty upfront with how players unlock certain styles and cosmetics. Baby Yoda can be used with any skin, not just the Mandalorian. He also floats around the player's back instead of staying fixed to one location. It may take weeks or months for casual players to reach level 100, but having a force wielding baby as a battle companion is well worth the effort.
