Season 6 of Fortnite is finally here, and as always it has a lot of new features for players to discover. The most game-changing update from Fortnite Season 6 so far is the addition of crafting which allows players to make equipment and upgrade their weapons. However, players won't be able to craft too much without the proper materials.

Each new season of Fortnite adds a game-changing mechanic that players have to adapt their playstyle to and that adds another layer to the robust battle royale experience. Season 5 populated the map with friendly NPCs that radically altered how Fortnite is played, and Season 6 builds on that feeling of survival by adding a simple crafting system. Players will need to collect a few components such as Animal Bones and Mechanical Parts in order to start crafting, and this guide will teach players where they can easily find Animal Bones and what they are used to make.

Finding Animal Bones In Fortnite Season 6

Fortnite Animal Bones Crafting Season 6

Animal Bones are pretty easy to find if players know where to look. Small amounts can be found inside chests, and players will drop the Animal Bones they've collected during a single match once eliminated. However, the most reliable source of Animal Bones can be found inside the newly added wildlife. These wild animals include wolves, warthogs, chickens, and frogs. Each one drops a different amount of materials as well as some animal-specific drops. As well, players with enough gold bars can buy them from certain NPCs around the map for 10 gold bars each. Some pieces of furniture that depict food will also drop Animal Bones when destroyed.

As far as uses go, Animal Parts are used to turning Makeshift Weapons into Primal Weapons. This includes turning a Makeshift Shotgun into a Primal Shotgun, a Makeshift Rifle into a Primal Rifle, and a Makeshift Bow into a Primal Bow. This increases the weapon's damage output, while Mechanical Weapons increase the rate of fire and other stats. Primal Bows can also be altered using grenades or other equipment to turn them into special weapons. It is important to note that once a Makeshift Weapon is transformed to either a Primal or Mechanical weapon it cannot be turned back or switched.
