AppleTV+ released a new full-length trailer for season 2 of For All Mankind. The sci-fi drama series explores an alternate timeline where the USSR beat the United States to the moon, spurring an endless space race between the two global powers. Set in 1969, the speculative first season imagines a world where the diversity of the Soviet space program pushes NASA to be more inclusive of women and people of color in the heat of their competition.

In the newly released season 2 trailer, the series jumps ahead to 1983, where the Cold War has further exacerbated tensions between the space programs. NASA has more advanced technology and more advanced weaponry, and the nuclear arms race collides with the space race in ways that could prove disastrous… for all mankind.

Propelled by Eurythmics' 80s synths, the trailer teases a "new mission" sanctioned by President Ronald Reagan himself, one that could seemingly upset the tenuous foreign relations on Earth. Alongside exciting glimpses of new ships and space shuttles, the clip sees the introduction of the "rules of engagement for use of force on the moon." Check it out below.

For All Mankind is helmed by Ronald D. Moore (Outlander) and stars Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad), Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Wrenn Schmidt, Sonya Walger, and Krys Marshall.
