Apple released the For All Mankind season 2 teaser trailer during Comic-Con@Home this past Saturday. For All Mankind is an Apple TV+ sci-fi drama series about an alternate timeline of the space race. The show is set in 1969, and explores a world in which the Soviet Union beat NASA to the Moon. The series stars Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad), Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Wrenn Schmidt, Sonya Walger and Krys Marshall.

During a panel at Comic-Con@Home, Apple released a first look at the much anticipated second season. The cast of For All Mankind, along with the series creators and executive producers discussed the show and highlights from season 1. As with the rest of SDCC this year, this panel was also entirely virtual due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Check out the trailer below.

The show is helmed by Emmy winner Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar GalacticaOutlander), and Golden Globes and Emmy nominees Ben Nedivi & Matt Wolpert (Fargo, American Crime Story: The People V.S. OJ Simpson). Nedivi and Wolpert executive produce the show alongside Golden Globes nominee Maril Davis (Outlander, Battlestar Galactica).

The teaser trailer shows some exciting scenes and gives fans a taste of what they can expect in season 2. Another alternate timeline television series that comes to mind is The Man in the High Castle, which tells a story about a world in which the Axis powers won World War II. Despite these similar concepts, For All Mankind is incredibly aspirational and feel-good. The whole first season is available on Apple TV+. The release date for season 2 has not yet been released.
