The flashlight is one of the most important tools in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach and several upgrades for it can be found in wind-up presents throughout the Mega Pizzaplex. Each one will increase the flashlight’s battery life, allowing Gregory to explore for longer periods of time without having to stop and charge it. Like the other upgrades in the game, the flashlight upgrades give players a significant advantage while exploring the mall and running from its rampaging animatronics.
Gregory will find the flashlight in the Daycare area of the Mega Pizzaplex during his first visit. First, he’ll have to distract the Daycare Attendant by knocking over a stack of drums and running to the Security Desk on the far end of the Daycare, where a flashlight will be waiting in the recharging station shaped like Freddy’s head on the wall. After grabbing the flashlight, Gregory will also be able to pick up the Security Badge on the desk, which will cause all of the lights to turn off in the Daycare.
Several flashlight recharging stations are located throughout the Pizzaplex in FNAF: Security Breach, and Gregory can recharge his flashlight by approaching them and holding the interact button. A green circle will indicate how full the charge is, so players will have to wait until the circle completes to charge it fully. The flashlight can also be partially charged if the player takes their flashlight out of the station early. However, with the flashlight upgrades, players will be able to use the flashlight for longer periods without worrying about finding a recharge station.
All Flashlight Upgrade Locations In FNAF: Security Breach
The first flashlight upgrade in FNAF: Security Breach can be found in the Daycare area where Gregory first finds the flashlight. In the back of the ball pit, players will find a set of stairs leading up to the top of the castle tower on the left side. At the top of this tower, a wind-up present contains the upgrade. By opening the present, the flashlight will be upgraded automatically.
There’s another flashlight upgrade in the Backstage area of Rockstar Row. By entering the door to the Backstage near Chica’s green room, players can follow the path until they reach the Rehearsal Room. A red door behind the risers leads to a storage room, and the flashlight upgrade is in the wind-up present on top of the storage bins.
The last flashlight upgrade in FNAF: Security Breach can be found in the Monty Golf area of the Mega Pizzaplex. In the Monty Grub restaurant’s kitchen, a door in the back leads to the Service Hallway. At the end of the hall, players will find a Security Office with a wind-up present on the desk that contains the flashlight upgrade.
