Fans of Floribama Shore who ship Codi Butts and Candace Rice may finally get their wish. Codi's Instagam recently exploded in a frenzy of excited comments after he shared a sweet photo of himself and Candace looking pretty cozy. Despite being flirty throughout the show's four seasons, their relationship remained strictly platonic. But now, it seems the long-time friends are possibly taking things to the next level. If this is the case, viewers and followers of the cast on social media, as well as Candace's father, will be thrilled.
Codi and Candace always had a strong bond that consistently teetered on the edge of being something more. A prime example occurred on the current season of Floribama Shore, when Codi prank called Candace's dad to tell him they were getting married. Though it was meant to be a joke, Papa Rice was completely on board with the idea of having Codi (who blushed bright red) as a son-in-law. The "friendship" between Codi and Candace was blurred further when she and hometown pal Bethany invited him for a threesome. This was also a prank, but Codi appeared more than willing to join.
Now, speculation about a Codi-Candace romance is stronger than ever. On Instagram, Codi posted a caption-less picture of himself kissing Candace on the forehead as she hugs him outside the Empire State Building. Castmates and fans alike are losing it over the post. Aimee Hall commented, "FINALLY I'M SO HAPPY." Nilsa Prowant, who recently opened up about her struggles with pregnancy, said, "Do I smell another Floribama wedding in the works?!?!" Gus Smyrnios praised, "Finally out the friend zone." One follower demanded that "this better be true." Another urged Candace to "let it be and let god" and to give Codi a chance.
The plot thickened on their Instagram Stories, where a video showed the two enjoying a Lady & the Tramp-esque moment with a nacho, which severely grossed out Aimee. Since nothing is confirmed just yet, it's possible the gang united for one of their biggest pranks of all time. But it's also very possible that there's a brand new Floribama Shore couple, aside from in town.
It's rare for the cast to date amongst themselves since drama tends to ensue. The last in-house fling was between Nilsa and Gus (and Nilsa's major crush on Jeremiah Buoni), which didn't work out so well. However, most fans are in agreement Codi and Candace would be a perfect match. Everyone can't wait until more details are revealed.
