During Floor Is Lava episode 1, a tribute was paid to Tim Sullivan leaving Netflix fans wondering who Tim was and what happened to him.

Viewers can always rely on Netflix for an entertaining series: new seasons of Queer Eye, as well as throwback series of KUWTK and The Real Housewives, have been added in 2020. Dropping on the streaming service on June 19, Floor Is Lava is an action-packed game show hosted by Rutledge Wood. The new Netflix show sees teams attempt to work their way through assault courses where the floor is 'lava'. For the team that manages to defy gravity and make it to victory, a cash prize of $10,000 and a lava lamp trophy awaits.

Tim Sullivan was one of the show's executive producers. As reported by Montclair Local, Tim sadly passed away on May 18, 2019, after a battle with bile duct cancer. He was 42 years old and lived in Los Angeles with his wife, Claire, and son, Rory. Originally from Montclair, New Jersey, Tim moved to LA in 2001. According to Montclair Local, "He developed new shows working as an executive at Zodiak, Core Media, Good Bye Productions and Fullscreen before forming his own production company, Gang of Wolves with partner Anthony Carbone, and Sony Pictures."

As well as producing Netflix's Floor Is Lava, Tim produced many other shows such as Project Runway and Top Chef. The TV show producer was clearly talented, working for companies such as Disney and Magical Elves during his career. The streaming service honored Tim who also had a Go Fund Me page set up to help with his more advanced cancer treatment. Created on April 17, 2019, Tim's Go Fund Me states that he "battled tremendously hard". Following his passing, the funds raised will be used in the best possible way, Tim's page reads "...this fund will now go to supporting Claire and Rory as they begin their life without Tim."

For some viewers, the 'floor is lava' provides a throwback to a childhood game, for others it may bring to life hilarious memes. Whatever, the case, the concept has been brought to the big screen by NetflixFloor Is Lava season 1 is comprised of 10 episodes. In the ultimate test of teamwork, whichever group of contestants manages to make it through the obstacle course without touching the 'lava' wins!
