Now that The Masked Singer has ended and fans are looking for something to fill in the gap left in their Wednesday nights, Fox is hoping you will tune in to its new show Flirty Dancing. Here's everything we know about the sexy new dance/dating show ahead of Sunday's premiere.

Hosted by actress and dancer Jenna Dewan, Flirty Dancing is a show the network calls "part performance, part blind date". The show follows two singles who learn half of a dance routine that they perform together for the first time on their first date. This is also the first time they have met or even laid eyes on each other. They perform without speaking giving viewers a chance to witness that initial spark, helped along by stunning locations and romantic choreography. Following the performance, while still on an emotional high from the experience the fans get to hear their take on the experience and more importantly, their date. They then decide if they want a second date, based solely on the dance and the couple's chemistry.

The show is based on a UK hit reality show. The British version, now in its second season, the dancing show quickly became popular with fans and a US version was picked up back in January of 2019. However, Fox is adding a twist to the US version. In this version, one single will learn the routine and dance it with two different partners. After the 2 dances, they will decide based on that experience alone, which one they'd like to go on another date with. The person who is chosen then gets decide to accept or decline. The dance routines are more La La Land than So You Think You Can Dance. The routines are set in breathtaking locations. If the participants have even a hint of a spark they are given the perfect conditions to fan that to a full-fledged flame. The routines, while choreographed by professionals and practiced and polished by the singles, still feel real. The participants are not professional dancers. The dance numbers are less about tricks and glitzy costumes and more about getting lost in the moment which leaves the routines feeling dreamlike. The performances feel reminiscent of musicals and TV shows where the characters break into spontaneous song and dance.

Due to this timeless quality, the show will resonate with people of all ages. Whether you grew up with TV movie musical classics like The Sound of Music, or series like Fame, or High School Musical, or even Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, you will appreciate the dream of having your life break into a romantic epic choreographed dance routine with someone who could turn out to be the love of your life. The show goes beyond that,  as it has a multigenerational appeal as well. The show is full of diversity. Couples of all races, gender, age, and sexual orientations are represented. Love is love and this show embraces that fully.

Whether you're a fan of dating shows or a fan of dancing shows or just a reality TV fan in general, this show is worth checking out. The singles often start their journey a little jaded by their dating experiences. Flirty Dancing brings them romance and excitement and viewers get to go along for the ride. It is a feel-good show that will change the image of blind dates forever. Launching just in time to capitalize on all the holiday feels, it will have you rooting for love and a happy ending.
