Josh Hall, Flip or Flop star Christina Hall's husband, is defending her against those who don't support the couple's speedy marriage. Fans were introduced to Christina in 2013 when Flip or Flop began airing, and right away her love life was the main drawing point. The show fixated on Christina and her then-husband Tarek El Moussa's relationship, as they repaired and renovated (flipped) dilapidated homes to put back on the market. While the show aired on HGTV and was obviously more centered on restoration, the couple's relationship was always in the backdrop. And their troubles were an ongoing throughline in the series. The seasons saw Tarek battling two types of cancer, the birth of one of their children, and of course the end of their marriage.

Christina and Tarek got divorced in 2018, but decided to continue doing the show, which just finished airing this March. That same year Christina began dating and then got married to her second husband, Ant Anstead. The marriage was short, and the pair finalized their divorce in July 2021. While in the process of getting divorced, Christina began dating realtor Josh Hall in early 2021. By July the pair had officially announced they were dating, and just two months later Christina and Josh announced their engagement. Fans were shocked, to say the least, with some vocalizing how they thought the pair were moving too fast. This month, Christina and Josh tied the knot, and in the wake of the announcement, have been getting their fair share of criticism.

This week Josh posted a picture of the couple with his arms wrapped around Christina and sought to defend his wife. His caption began with, "This woman I get to call mine is nothing short of incredible. No one or no thing will keep her from achieving happiness/success." The next bit seemed to be targeted at all the people who had been showing their lack of support for the couple, and Christina's decisions in general. "She doesn’t need anyones validation and certainly doesn’t let anyones disapproval affect what she does with HER life." The pair had been battling naysayers since they went public with their relationship less than a year ago. And though they've dealt with a lot of hate, Christina and Josh still choose to share their relationship online.

For many fans it wasn't disapproval of Josh or even Christina that upset them. It was the way in which her prior relationship seemed to end so abruptly, and with little explanation as to why, only for her to move on quickly. While the couple seemed happy, fans most likely felt as if they hadn't seen enough of them to fully give their support. In response, Josh said, "Reminder: Social Media is not reality. Some of the best moments are never captured by cameras and are not posted in any social media platforms. They are kept in private and are cherished together with those involved." He essentially told the haters that yes, the couple is happy, and no, their relationship is not as surface level as some may assume.

Christina is trying to live her life and find her own bliss. For her, getting married to Josh is an extension of that. However, to fans who were attached to her previous relationships, letting go and respecting this one may be hard. At that point it's good to draw boundaries and show people that Christina is living her life for herself, not to please strangers. While it's amazing they came along for her Flip or Flop journey, she's embarking on a new voyage now, and they can either get in or move on.
