Tarek El Moussa, half of the duo that makes up Flip or Flop, is now branching off with his own series Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa. As a real estate agent and house-flipping expert, Tarek will be taking on teaching novices everything he knows about renovating houses for a profit.
Flip or Flop follows Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussas' journey as they'd buy, renovate, and sell SoCal properties for a profit. The hit HGTV series has been running since 2013 and is taking a turn this next season since the couple divorced during season 7. The newly divorced couple is now tackling the challenges of being business partners and co-parents to their two children in season 8, which is set to air August 1st.
According to HGTV, this 14-episode series will feature Tarek as he mentors real estate novices to help them learn the secrets of a successful flip. With hundreds of profitable sales under his belt, Tarek is ready to lend his invaluable expertise to those who want to win big in the competitive real estate game. Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa is slated to premiere in early 2020. Tarek talks about how he got to this point in his career becoming a teacher, saying, “My passion for real estate has led me to flip hundreds of homes over the years and I’ve been incredibly lucky as an entrepreneur to build a successful business... Now I get to help first-time flippers learn the ropes, find the best property deals and show them how to make the most profit on their investment.”
The president of HGTV, Jane Latman, recently spoke of the premise of the show and why they decided to take on just Tarek in his own spin-off.
