Josh Hall is defending his wife Flip Or Flop star Christina Haack's parenting skills amid her custody battle with ex Ant Anstead. Christina is mostly known for the hit series she had with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. While the show fixated on the trials and tribulations of flipping homes, a key element was the couple's relationship. The show captured the birth of one of their children, as well as Tarek battling cancer twice. In 2016, the couple announced their split but were still determined to continue with the show. In 2018, the divorce was officially finalized, and that same year Christina got remarried to Ant.
Just the next year, Christina and Ant welcomed their newborn baby boy Hudson to the world. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't last long after that, and the two ended up separating in 2020, with the divorce officially finalized in 2021. Soon after Christina announced she was seeing someone else, enter Josh Hall. The two got engaged in September and this April they tied the knot. This past week Ant filed for sole custody of Hudson, alleging both Christina and Josh had created an unsafe environment for their son. Originally the two had agreed to joint custody, but after Hudson was returned to Ant's care without Josh disclosing he'd tested positive for COVID-19, he had second thoughts.
Following these allegations, Christina has defended herself publicly, but now Josh is getting involved. This week Josh took to Instagram to defend her in a lengthy caption in which he claims, "Christina is a very driven and incredible woman who has an ability to brush anything off and keep herself composed while being a positive influence in these kids lives..." Josh took most of the beginning of the post to talk about his role as a father figure. He explained that he was not there to replace anyone, but merely to support his wife and aid the children as they grow.
Josh took the second half of his caption to explain that while there's been a lot of public noise, fans shouldn't believe everything they read. A lot of their lives are kept private, and so more has gone down that the public has no clue about, "So trust me as someone who likes to keep a low profile, no one except those directly involved knows jack about any situation..." Warning that there are two sides to every story, Josh ends his post by declaring his love for Christina and promising the public he will do his best to "protect" her.
Custody battles, especially among public figures, are often messy. There's a lot of passion and plenty of differing opinions in regards to how children should be raised. Hopefully, for Hudson's sake, Christina and Ant can come to some agreement soon. However, it's good that in such a stressful period she has her husband to fall back on. The Flip Or Flop star will probably have to deal with more allegations before the battle is done, but at least one thing's certain: her husband is not a flop.
