Flip Or Flop's Christina Haack addressed her past in an Instagram post following reports of her ex-husband and co-star Tarek El Moussa's alleged blowup while filming their hit HGTV series. On the show, which has made them very successful stars for the network, they renovate and flip houses. Flip Or Flop debuted in 2013 and has spawned multiple spin-offs that take place in cities like Las Vegas, Atlanta, Nashville, Fort Worth and Chicago. The former couple got married in 2009 but ended up getting divorced in 2017, which was finalized the following year. They share a daughter and a son, born in 2010 and 2015, respectively. Both Christina and Tarek have moved on to other relationships since then. Christina and Ant Anstead exchanged vows at the end of 2018, with the couple having one child together. They separated in 2020. Tarek is currently engaged to Selling Sunset's Heather Rae Young.
Even though Christina and Tarek are no longer married, they are still working together on Flip Or Flop. It was recently reported that the two got into a heated argument on the set of the HGTV series last week. The incident allegedly started when Christina made a signal to indicate she was ready to start filming a particular scene of the episode they were working on. Tarek apparently didn't like what Christina did, so he took his anger out on her. He disparaged her appearance and wealth by contrasting her with his fiancée. Producers ended up separating them for the rest of the day.
Following those reports, Christina has now taken to Instagram to address her past and celebrate her current relationship. She posted a picture taken in a car with her boyfriend, Joshua Hall, who is also a realtor. She started off by writing, "Ride or Die," and then added a comment about how not everyone is able to find their true love on the first attempt. "Some people are lucky enough to get forever the first time but no one should be shamed for things not working out and no one knows what goes on behind closed doors," she said. She went on to gently remind fans to heed those words before judging others or making assumptions about people.
Christina ended her Instagram post by acknowledging her boyfriend. "This woman/mama is still lucky enough to have this man choose me," she concluded. Flip Or Flop star Christina and Joshua have been dating for a few months. They were spotted for the first time in public together in early July then shared their relationship on social media days later.
Considering the former couple have exchanged tense words on the set of Flip Or Flop before, producers clearly need to step in and deal with the matter. Tarek's verbal abuse in a work environment should not be allowed to continue. Maybe Christina and Tarek thought they could keep working together just fine after their divorce, but it's obviously not working out that well. Ratings should not trump alleged hostility. If Tarek has another blowup, then HGTV should really consider replacing him if executives don't want to outright cancel Flip Or Flop.
