Update: Watch The Flight Attendant season 2 trailer (featuring Sharon Stone) here!

Kaley Cuoco confirms The Flight Attendant season 2 has finished filming. Cuoco first came to fame as Bridget Hennessy on the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules. Still, she became a household name for starring in The Big Bang Theory as Penny, Leonard and Sheldon's neighbor and an aspiring actress. After The Big Bang Theory season 12 finished in 2019, the award-winning actress took starring roles in DC's animated Harley Quinn and The Flight Attendant, and she executive produced both series.

The Flight Attendant is a murder mystery dramedy series on HBO Max about an American flight attendant named Cassie (Cuoco) who spends her time between flights drinking and hooking up with strangers. Cassie's life takes a wild turn when she wakes up to find her latest hookup dead in the bed with her. Cuoco stars alongside an all-star cast which includes Michiel Huisman (The Age of Adeline, Rosie Perez (Birds of Prey, Do The Right Thing), Zosia Mamet (Mad Men), and Michelle Gomez (Doctor Who). While The Flight Attendant was initially reported to be a limited series, HBO renewed the series for season 2 in December 2020.

This week Cuoco confirmed (via Instagram) that The Flight Attendant season 2 has wrapped filming. She posted a picture of herself on the Warner Bros. lot as well as two video clips where she gives an emotional thank you to the cast and crew of the show. The Flight Attendant star and executive producer capped her post with the words, "There are no words to describe my gratitude... can't wait for you to see what we did!" Check out Cuoco's post below:

While Cuoco does not share any details about The Flight Attendant season 2's storyline, it seems likely that Cassie accepted the opportunity to work for the CIA she was offered in The Flight Attendant season 1 finale. Cuoco's post promises another season spanning the globe with more of the highs and lows that Cassie is known for. The Flight Attendant season 1 received critical acclaim, and both the show's cast and crew received several nominations for their work, so expectations for its follow-up season will be high.

The Flight Attendant season 1 took Cassie worldwide, from Bangkok to New York to Rome, in a slick and energetic thriller that carefully traded between comedy and intimacy. If Cuoco's Instagram post and heartfelt speech are any indicators, The Flight Attendant season 2 will be just as engaging as season 1. The only way to determine if the series can live up to these expectations is to tune in when The Flight Attendant season 2 premieres this spring.
