Kaley Cuoco had quite the emotional reaction to her Golden Globe nomination for The Flight Attendant. The actress currently stars in the HBO Max series based on the Chris Bohjalian novel of the same name. Cuoco portrays Cassie Bowden, an alcoholic flight attendant who ends up drunkenly spending the night with a passenger who is murdered the next day. Cassie cleans up the room and enlists her best friend and lawyer Annie Mouradian (Zosia Mamet) while trying to recall what happened. Cuoco also serves as an executive producer on the show through her production company Yes, Norman Productions.

The eight-episode comedy thriller was originated by Cuoco, who optioned the rights to the novel. The actress has had a long and successful career going back to when she was a child, appearing in countless films and television shows. She is most well known for her roles in sitcoms, starring in 8 Simple Rules as Bridget Hennessy for three seasons and The Big Bang Theory as Penny for twelve. She also currently voices the title character Harley Quinn on the animated series, which recently joined The Flight Attendant on HBO Max.

Now, Cuoco has received major awards attention with her nomination for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy and The Flight Attendant's nod for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globe Awards. Cuoco posted footage of her tuning into the nominations announcement. In the first video, she reacts to her acting nomination, while the second shows The Flight Attendant being recognized. Cuoco also posted a heartfelt caption thanking the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and expressing her pride in everyone who works on the show.

Cuoco has rarely received any major awards recognition, even on The Big Bang Theory, which earned multiple nominations for the show and four Emmy awards and a Golden Globe for Jim Parsons, who incidentally is also nominated at the ceremony for Hollywood. After a long career, it makes sense the nominations for The Flight Attendant are particularly gratifying for Cuoco. She's up against Lily Collins (Emily in Paris), Elle Fanning (The Great), Jane Levy (Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist), and Catherine O'Hara (Schitt's Creek) in her category.

Considering The Flight Attendant's positive critical and audience reception, it's exciting Cuoco and the show are getting noticed so quickly after it aired. There will be much more to look forward to as The Flight Attendant has been renewed for season 2, which could take the show in many directions. If it is just as good as season 1, it may mean more opportunities for Cuoco to have another epic reaction.
