Jeffrey Dean Morgan says he is still game to play Batman in the Flashpoint movie. Ezra Miller was fully introduced as the Flash in Justice League and ever since, his character's solo movie has been in development hell. There have been a lot of updates about The Flash, but not all of them actually turned out to be true. The Flash was originally supposed to premiere in March 2018 after the release of Justice League, but that obviously didn't happen.
At one point, The Flash had officially been titled Flashpoint. In the Flashpoint comics, Barry went back in time to prevent his mother's death, but in doing so, he shattered reality causing an alternate timeline that is different than the one he knows. After the poor reception of Justice League, it was rumored that Flashpoint might reboot the DCEU, which would have been an easy way to start fresh. In the comics, Thomas Wayne takes on the mantle of Batman instead of his son Bruce and in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Morgan played Bruce's father. Morgan has shown interest in playing the Flashpoint Batman before, and it looks like he is still interested in the role.
Morgan revealed to Comic Book at the premiere of The Walking Dead season 10 that he is still more than willing to play a Flashpoint version of Batman, if the movie ever gets made. Morgan also thinks there needs to be some type of continuity to the DC films before he would be able to play the character. Morgan's full quote from Comic Book can be read below:
"Look, I don't know, I mean if there's a chance that would ask me, I'd say yes. I think the Flashpoint story is, it's my favorite story. I would love to do it. But, you know, DC is DC and they're, you know, it's a constant... it seems like they're always kinda switching up who's running it and what they're gonna do. So hopefully, what I'd like to see is a little continuity with DC, have them get on the track, and then, man I'd be honored and love to do it more than anything."
While DC started off by trying to create a shared universe to catch up with Marvel, Warner Bros. now seems to be taking a different approach to their superhero movies. Instead of developing a giant shared universe as Disney has done with Marvel Studios, Warner Bros. is instead making individual films that don't necessarily connect to one another. Joker for example, takes place in a separate universe in the late '70s early '80s, long before the events of the DCEU. The Batman is another film that will break the continuity of the DCEU, since Robert Pattinson will play Bruce Wayne over Ben Affleck, and since Jeffrey Wright might play Commissioner Gordon instead of J.K. Simmons (who played Gordon in Justice League).
Even though it doesn't seem like DC is worrying about growing a shared universe right now, they are still making additions to the DCEU due to films like Wonder Woman 1984 and Aquaman 2. Warner Bros. has been seeing success by not copying Marvel's formula, but fans shouldn't count out a Flashpoint movie just yet. With Morgan's enthusiasm for playing the Flashpoint Batman and the popularity of the comics, it's possible Warner Bros. could still develop the movie at some point.
