This week's episode of The Flash wrapped up the two-part battle between Team Flash and Gorilla Grodd in 'Attack on Central City', and almost ended on a high note, as various team members concluded the episode happily loved-up. Barry (Grant Gustin) proposed to Iris (Candice Patton), Jesse Quick (Violette Beane) is staying on Earth-1 to be with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale), and all seems well in Central City. However, the final scene of 'Attack On Central City' saw the return of this season's big bad, Savitar. This vengeful God of Speed appeared to Wally, and from the title of next week's episode, 'The Wrath Of Savitar', we know that he's back in the spotlight.

Now, a series of images from next week's episode have been revealed, showing us an injured Barry, a concerned Jesse, the return of the chest that holds the Philosopher's Stone, and Julian (Tom Felton) hooked up to the machine that let Savitar speak through him in the past.

The series of 19 photos released by The CW do not show Savitar himself, nor does Wally make an appearance, although everyone else in Team Flash is shown in these scenes. Several of the images show Julian hooked up to the machine that allows Savitar to speak through him, in some sort of confrontation with Barry Allen. The next set show Jesse's arrival to the lab, in her civilian clothes, and looking frightened about something (possibly the reason that Wally is not present in these images). One image shows Vibe (Carlos Valdes) with his glasses on, presumably using his powers. Two more photos show Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Julian leaning over Barry, who has a metal rod sticking out of his shoulder. The final images show the chest that holds the Philosopher's Stone, hooked up to some kind of apparatus while Cisco fiddles with it.

Combined with the trailer for the episode, these photos suggest that Savitar is back to his old mind-controlling tricks - having previously spoken through Julian and caused Cisco to hallucinate, it seems that he is now targeting Wally (and speaking through Julian once again). Wally's absence from the images, along with Jesse's concern, suggests that something terrible is happening to him that keeps him from the lab - whether he is physically gone, or unable to deal with the mental torture that Savitar is inflicting on him is yet to be seen. Barry's injury shows us that this episode will not be devoid of costumed antics, although we do not know how Barry is injured, or by whom.

It looks like 'The Wrath Of Savitar' may be a key episode in this season, with the big bad coming back into play, and another member of Team Flash in trouble. It seems that this episode will be in stark contrast to the previous ones, with trouble in the West family, including (according to the synopsis) between Barry and Iris. We'll be especially interested to see how Barry gets injured - with Savitar messing with Wally's mind, could the speedster-in-training be the one who attacks his mentor, thinking that Barry is Savitar? It's fantastic to see the Julian/Savitar connection come back into play, as well as the Philosopher's Stone. With fewer than 10 episodes left in the season, it's time to start really focusing on that inevitable final battle as Barry tries to save Iris.
