DC Comics recently announced The War For Earth-3, a new crossover event that may see the Flash doom the Teen Titans to one of the DC Multiverse's darkest worlds as he battles his dark opposite, Johnny Quick. Featuring an evil version of the Justice League known as the Crime Syndicate, Earth-3 has become a world of key importance to none other than Amanda Waller and her Justice Squad, a new team she's secretly been crafting thanks to the efforts of her usual Suicide Squad. However, Waller's plans involve kidnapping a Teen Titan, leading to a mission for Wally West's Flash, who was once a Titan himself.

According to DC Comics, The War For Earth-3 crossover event will be taking place across Teen Titans Academy, The Flash, and Suicide Squad which will be bookended by opening and closing one-shot issues from writers Robbie Thompson and Dennis Hopeless with art by Steve Pugh and Dexter Soy. The event will be five issues total, with Waller finally putting her master plan into motion, seeking to defeat the Crime Syndicate and replace them with her Justice Squad to forcibly bring peace to the world. However, Rick Flag's newly assembled Suicide Squad has been attempting to take Waller and her team down, and the Teen Titans will likewise be going after Waller after her team kidnaps one of the Roy Harper Academy's students.

As far as Wally West is concerned with The War For Earth-3, Flash #780 will serve as the third part of the crossover from writers Robbie Thompson and Dennis Hopeless with art by Fernando Pasarin and Matt Ryan. Here, the Fastest Man Alive will be recruited by his fellow Titans to help them get to Earth-3, though it seems he'll soon have his hands full with the Crime Syndicate's Flash counterpart Johnny Quick once they get there, potentially leading to his friends being stranded on the dark and twisted version of their own world. Flash War on Earth-3
Flash War on Earth-3 2

Even the Fastest Man Alive can’t outrun all the danger of the War for Earth-3. Enlisted by his former teammates on the Teen Titans, Wally West helped bring the Titans to Earth-3 but will any of them make it home? Chased by Earth-3’s Johnny Quick, the Scarlet Speedster quickly finds himself running out of options.

If the cover art is any indication, things won't be looking good for the Flash. Not only is Johny Quick right behind him, but it looks as though he'll also be facing one of his classic rogues known as Mirror Master, who's a member of Rick Flag's Suicide Squad. Clearly, Wally will have plenty to do once he helps his friends get to Earth-3 to try and save their kidnapped student, joining the fray as the four powerful teams clash in what will no doubt be an epic battle. This year's Future State: Suicide Squad hinted that Waller intends to kidnap speedster Bolt, but with changes to the timeline since then, any of the academy's students could be her target as she assembles a team she intends to install on Earth-3 before cutting it off from the wider multiverse.

Given his past as a Teen Titan, it's been great to see Wally reuniting with his old friends at the Titans Academy in current issues from DC Comics, seeing as how many of the original Titans have become instructors there. Now, the announcement for The War For Earth-3 confirms Wally will be continuing his team-up with the Teen Titans into the new year, when the crossover event releases in March of 2022. After only recently clearing his name of the massacre of his fellow heroes during Heroes in Crisis, here's hoping the Flash isn't about to be responsible for stranding the Teen Titans on Earth-3 with his dark opposite.
