WARNING: This article includes spoilers from The Flash season 8, episodes 18 and 19.

The trailer for The Flash season 8, episode 19 previews the return of a major character as the Arrowverse drama heads into its two-part season finale. Things are getting ready to come to a close in The Flash season 8 as there are only two episodes left to air. One of the remaining unsolved storylines that the show has left is Iris West-Allen's time-sickness. Since the end of The Flash season 8, episode 14, Candice Patton's character has been missing as Iris' condition made her vanish again. While Iris has gone missing before, this is the longest period she has been MIA, which will be dealt with in the remaining episodes of The Flash season 8.

In The Flash season 8, episode 18, "The Man in the Yellow Tie," Barry Allen focused heavily on training the show's new speedster, Meena Dhawan, better known to DC fans as Fast Track. While the episode included Matt Letscher's Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne's return came with a twist. Even though he is the original Thawne, this Eobard has no memories of being an evil speedster, nor of his rivalry with The Flash. However, based on the ending of The Flash season 8, episode 18, things may not be as peaceful for this Eobard for much longer.

Following the airing of "The Man in the Yellow Tie," The CW (via TV Promos) aired a trailer for The Flash season 8, episode 19, which will air on Wednesday, June 22. Titled "Negative, Part One," the trailer sets up another two-part season finale, similar to The Flash season 7. The footage features not only one but both Eobards, with Tom Cavanagh's iteration looking like he's about to get a power boost. However, the biggest takeaway is the first look at Iris' return, although the trailer does not make it clear exactly where the Scarlet Speedster's wife currently is. Check out the trailer below.

Showrunner Eric Wallace has previously stated that not only will Iris' time-sickness be cured, but The Flash's current villain and their connection to her will also be explored. While there has been a villain operating this whole time, it hasn't been made clear who The Flash season 8's latest foe truly is until now. Based on the trailer for The Flash season 8, episode 19, it appears Deon might be the new antagonist, but that remains to be seen. The new footage for "Negative, Part One," which was written by Jonathan Butler and Gabriel Garza while Jeff Byrd directed it, also includes Meena officially getting her Fast Track costume.

While it has been confirmed that The Flash season 8 finale will cure Iris' time-sickness, there is still so much that is unknown about this. Given how long The Flash has had Iris' time-sickness as a storyline, it will be intriguing to see how they explain the origin of her condition, including why she got it. Even though they're setting up a big two-part finale, the wait for The Flash season 9 is going to be quite extensive. Joining Superman & Lois season 3, The Flash season 9 won't premiere until sometime in 2023, and it has yet to be determined if next season will be the show's last. Based on the trailer for The Flash season 8, episode 19, especially with a title that has the word "Negative" in it, it looks like things are about to get very wild for Barry and his allies.
