The synopsis for the Season 7 premiere of The Flash has been revealed, and it confirms the return of Nash Wells. Nash Wells, the geologist, and explorer, portrayed by Tom Cavanagh, was introduced in season 6. Wells showed up to Earth-1 searching for the substance called "eternium" and ran into his fair share of problems along the way.

Wells eventually finds the eternium in Central City's sewers but becomes trapped underneath the city before being rescued by Ralphy Dibny. He then accepts help from Team Flash and also tells them that he knows how to reverse Barry's fate that will come with the approaching Crisis. Wells later accidentally unleashes the Anti-Monitor and, as a result, becomes a Pariah forced to watch the Anti-Monitor destroy the multiverse in "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three."

Season 7 of The Flash will premiere on The CW on March 3. The delay of The Flash and all other Arrowverse series was announced in May of last year due to the ongoing pandemic. Season 6 was cut short by three episodes as a result, and the finale. Last season's finale saw one of the biggest ever battles thus far and then left viewers with a few big cliffhangers and unanswered questions. They will have to resolve the issues in the Mirrorverse, the fate of Iris West, and a significant conflict with Eva McCullogh, who is now a massive threat to the team. Thankfully, those questions should be resolved soon in season 7. The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace previously stated that the shortened season 6 would impact all of season 7. Initially, season 7 was set to premiere this month, but the premiere was then delayed once more to make room for the premiere of Superman & Lois.

After a long delay, The Flash is finally right around the corner. As if that were not exciting enough, the synopsis serves up more excitement as it provides more details of what is to come. The synopsis, along with the season 7 posters, has amped up what is sure to be another dramatic, action-packed season of The Flash
