Warning! Spoilers for Future State: The Flash #2 below.

Reeling after the death of multiple members of the Flash-Family at the hands of a corrupted Wally West, Barry Allen will be wearing a new suit that will give him a fighting chance with his speed being taken from him. In new previews for Future State: The Flash #2, Barry will be sporting one of his silliest looks to date, but don't let his new costume deceive you, it's powerful.

Future State is DC Comics' two-month, line-wide event, that takes place in the dark DC future. The Flash's future is particularly grim, as one of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, Famine, has broken free from being trapped in the Speed Force and possessed Wally West. Under the influence of the dark force, Famine has feasted on team Flash, picking off speedsters and stealing their precious speed. Wally has killed Wallace West, Impulse, and Jay Garrick, and left the squad without many ways of fighting back. It's why Barry and his fellow speedsters have been stealing weapons from his rogue's gallery in an effort to stop him.

In new previews for Future State: The Flash #2 by Brandon Vietti, Brandon Peterson, Will Conrad, Mike Atiyeh, and Steve Wands, Barry puts all of the weapons he's taken from his former villains to good use. Barry is seen adding different pieces of weaponry and armor to his costume, including Captain Cold's cold gun, Captain Boomerang's boomerangs, Heat Wave's heat gun, the Trickster's satchel, and The Thinker's helmet. The overall costume might look silly, but Barry used his brain to combine all of these weapons into something extremely powerful.

Barry might not have his speed powers, but his costume has never featured more power. Taking down Famine in the form of Wally West is going to be a huge challenge, but with a variety of weapons that have stopped many versions of the Flash before at his disposal, it seems he's got a fighting chance to save his friend.

The Flash's last-ditch effort is sure to be a wild affair, especially with all of these new gadgets. Wally needs to be stopped as he's killing his former family at a record pace. Wally has had a rough go in the last couple of years in the pages of DC Comics, so hopefully, Barry is successful and can bring his fellow speedster back onto the good side. Readers will find out more about Barry Allen's new look and Wally West's fate, as Future State: The Flash #2 hits comic shops next week.
