It is no secret that 2016 was filled with ups and downs for the young DC Extended Universe. Mixed reception to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad has allowed doubt about the universe to creep into the minds of fans, despite Wonder Woman and Justice League having built positive buzz so far. Not all projects have been filled with optimism however, such as The Flash after Rick Famuyiwa's 2016 exit marked the second time a director left the project. Still, the movie has a solid foundation with Ezra Miller as Barry Allen and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West to help get the project off the ground.

While the rest of the casting decisions will have to wait until a new director comes in and determines the direction of the film, the real world's fastest man alive is hoping to appear. Usain Bolt recently expressed his interest in joining The Flash in some capacity, and some new fan art imagines what he would look like in a superhero suit of his own.

BossLogic is known for his comic book movie related art and he took the time to design Bolt's look as another speedster in the DCEU. Bolt's costume is similar to Black Flash's design, but brings more yellow and green to the suit (the colors Bolt wears as a Jamaican runner). Take a look:

The probability of Bolt playing another speedster in The Flash seems unlikely at this point, regardless of how great he could look in a suit. Rumored plot details from Famuyiwa's plan had Flash battling The Rogues, a group of non-speedsters, which would leave little place for Bolt to suit up in any capacity.

However, this should not discount the possibility of him cameoing in another way. Bolt very well could be a bystander on Central City during the film and see Flash race by him on the street. Surely there is a fun cameo that could be planned and play on the joke that Bolt and Flash share the nickname of The Fastest Man Alive.

If a Bolt cameo is ever going to happen, it will largely be dependent on the tone of the film and the taste of the new director. With Bolt expressing interest early on, it wouldn't be surprising for Warner Bros. to work in an appearance at some point. Neither fans nor Bolt are looking for a heavily involved role. Something quick and fun in the vein of other celebrity cameos would be more than enough to make all parties involved pleased. Hopefully this can turn out to be something more than just a wish, but only time will tell whether or not that is the case.
