A fan poster for The Flash movie shows what Dylan O’Brien could look like in the titular role currently held by Ezra Miller in the DCEU. O'Brien rose to prominence with performances in shows such as Teen Wolf and films such as The Maze Runner trilogy. More recently, he can be seen in Graham Moore’s The Outfit alongside Mark Rylance and Zoey Deutch.

Barry Allen a.k.a The Flash is one of DC’s most iconic heroes. Known for his super-speed, the character entered the DCEU in 2016 with Miller taking on the role in a brief cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which was then fleshed out further with performances in both the theatrical and director’s cut versions of Justice League. Miller is set to take center stage as Allen in a solo movie next year under the direction of It filmmaker Andy Muschietti. However, Miller has recently come under fire for a number of legal issues in Hawaii, including assault charges. These incidents have raised questions as to whether or not Miller should be replaced as The Flash at some point, with O'Brien being pitched by many fans as a suitable candidate. Following Miller’s recent legal troubles in Hawaii, some have called for O’Brien to step in as their replacement.

While no official recasting has been hinted at by Warner Bros., a new fan poster has hit the web showing what a standalone Flash movie could look like with O’Brien in the lead role. Riffing on the multiverse plot that is alleged to occupy much of The Flash, O'Brien can be seen hovering above several characters expected to appear in the upcoming movie. Check out the poster, courtesy of Agt Design, below.

The above poster is one of many fan-created pieces of art imagining what O’Brien could look like if he steps into the role of Barry Allen. The art itself is clearly a play on the actual, planned Flash solo movie, featuring Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in full view, as well as Grant Gustin’s iteration of The Flash and Michael Shannon’s Zod. It’s the latest in a long line, as fans have been producing art and trailers with him taking center stage in The Flash solo movie. Flash is also not the only character O’Brien has been fan-cast in, as he has been a longtime fan-favorite to take on the role of Nightwing in the DCEU as well – but, like The Flash, there has been nothing official on that front.

Of course, while all of this is interesting for fans to dig into and think about, it’s worth acknowledging that there has been no official word on a Barry Allen recast yet. For the time being, Miller is still in place as the DCEU’s Barry in The Flash. While some have called for them to be removed from the role in light of recent events, nothing official has happened. That said, if a recast does occur, it’s clear that there is a strong fan desire to see O’Brien take on the role.
