Everything We Learn From The Flash's Extended Season 9 Trailer

Barry Allen running in record speed in The Flash Season 9

The Flash season 9 is officially taking place one week after the events of season 8, where Barry defeated Reverse-Flash once again. One of the final major chapters in Iris and Barry's story that the show has to explore is getting pregnant with their first child, Nora West-Allen. The Flash trailer highlights that story finally coming to fruition as Barry lays out his roadmap, telling Iris that she will be pregnant in just a few months. However, Iris does stress to Barry that she doesn't want her entire future told to her.

The extended trailer for The Flash season 9 also sees a bigger spotlight on the return of several Rogues. The footage sees Goldface, Pied Piper, and Hotness alongside Jon Cor's Chillblaine, who is now a series regular for the final season. There is also a lot more action for the latest Rogue member showing up this season, with Richard Harmon playing Owen Mercer, a.k.a. the new Captain Boomerang. Additionally, the Flash trailer offered quick shots of what appears to be a new Arrowverse take on Murmur. However, the biggest takeaway is the first proper look at Red Death, played by Javicia Leslie.

The biggest key detail revealed from The Flash season 9 is that the new speedster wants to build a time machine. For what purposes, however, remains to be seen as The CW is still staying silent on plot details about Red Death. With less than a month to go, The CW is amping up the marketing machine for The Flash's final season. Currently, The Flash season 9 is working on episode 9, which will feature multiple Arrowverse stars, including Stephen Amell's Green Arrow. The episode will also feature Kid Flash, John Diggle, and Bloodwork returning for the hyped-up installment. As Barry begins his final run next month, The Flash season 9 is truly the end of an era for the Arrowverse.
