There's long been debate about who the fastest Flash on Earth is. Over time, the general consensus suggests Wally West is the fastest speedster. However, who's the fastest speedster in the entire multiverse? A new story in the upcoming DC Cybermetic Summer will have Flashes from around the multiverse challenging for the top speedster.

DC's upcoming anthology will feature a slew of new stories centered around DC's favorite (and least favorite) robots. Included in DC Cybernetic Summer include a Red Tornado story from Stephanie Phillips and Leila del Duca, a Cyborg and Cyborg Superman story by Stuart Moore and Cully Hammer, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, and Skeets teaming up in a story from Heath Corson and Scott Koblish, as well as Batman, O.M.A.C, and Brother Eye facing off against each other in a story from Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman. All-in-all, the anthology will feature ten different tales, including 'The Speedster Games' from Joshua Williamson and David Lafuente.

"The Speedster Games" will feature Flashes coming from different corners of the multiverse to determine (via a speedster race of course) who the fastest Flash truly is. The robotic Mercury Flash from Earth-44 will go all-out to win the competition, with his biggest challenge coming from Barry Allen (Wally might be busy as the new Dr. Manhattan). In two preview pages released by DC Comics, Mercury Flash isn't messing around as he preps for the race. The Flashes will be racing for the Lightning Cup. He monologues that the other Flashes all "smile too much" and are "always cherry. Always going on about hope." He seems determined to prove that despite his robotic shell, he deserves consideration as a top speedster. He doesn't have time for Barry's fun attitude at all.

Perhaps, the race will humanize Mercury Flash a little bit and he'll lighten up by the end of the competition. Regardless, it's cool to see the fastest Flash in the multiverse being named. Barry will be in tough as his opponent means business. Check out the solicitation for the story as well as the DC Cybernetic Summer cover below.
