Warning! Spoilers ahead for Infinite Frontier #1!

In Infinite Earths #1, Barry Allen is teaming up with Darkseid, by force! Barry just upgraded to be the Flash of Justice Incarnate, with the task of monitoring the newly-formed Omniverse. His job is of vital importance as he keeps track of the multiverse's changes. Being a speedster, Barry is able to monitor the vibrations of each Earth, which makes him able to detect if anything is wrong. Readers know that Darkseid is the big bad of DC's imminent future and that he is planning something huge for the Omniverse.

Although Flash's job is clear, not everything goes according to plan as he stumbles onto the barren landscapes of Earth-Omega. Disregarding President Superman's warning, Barry tests out a theory. This idea entails Flash vibrating through every known Earth in the multiverse to garner enough multiversal energy to make the leap to the Omega Planet. Barry's plan works, but none of it is in benefit to him or the Justice Incarnate as he is captured on arrival.

In Infinite Frontier #1 by Joshua Williamson and Xermanico, Flash finds himself stuck in Darkseid's grasp. As Barry sees the corpses of the Quintessence, Barry tries to send out a message to the Justice Incarnate. However, after his message is sent, he is interrupted by an ominous voice. Multiple iterations of the Flash, drawn in different styles, flash up as Psycho-Pirate is revealed. Psycho-Pirate is Darkseid's new minion, he has promised him to play a certain role in the upcoming Crisis. Now, Psycho-Pirate isn't alone as Darkseid is Barry's new boss too.

Psycho-Pirate teases Darkseid's upcoming plans for a new Crisis. Unlike Crisis on Infinite Earths, both Psycho-Pirate and Flash will be on the same side. This is because Barry is forced under Darkseid's spell by his new so-called ally. Barry will be helping Darkseid find someone who is of great importance. Who that is remains to be seen, however, it's possible that Darkseid could be searching for Black Lantern Roy Harper. Considering the raw power that Roy now holds, he seems like the most likely candidate, although nothing has been confirmed.

The Flash has got himself in a terrible situation that will lead him down an inescapable path, thanks to Darkseid. However, after a bit of time, Flash's disappearance will be noticed. Barry's final tape recordings could be his savior if they actually transmitted to the Justice Incarnate. Flash's new alliance is going to be a one-sided ordeal, benefitting only Darkseid. Barry will be used for his powers and knowledge to get who Darkseid seeks, whilst probably being warped by Psycho-Pirate. How the Flash breaks free of Darkseid's control could be something along the lines of how he manipulated him in Crisis on Infinite Earths and defeated the Anti-Monitor.
