The Screwdriver can be found and used on certain objects in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. Using the Screwdriver, players will be able to get into areas that were previously blocked off as well as avoid or escape the deadly animatronics roaming around the Pizzaplex. The Screwdriver will need to be found after players have an encounter with the security guard, Vanessa, and get locked up.
In order to obtain the Screwdriver, players will need to progress through the story and collect tools and upgrades in FNAF: Security Breach until they reach the point where Vanessa locks them in the Lost and Found room. This occurs while Gregory is trying to find and restore Freddy. Vanessa will catch him as he makes his way to the Prize Counter elevator. This cutscene is unavoidable and will end with Gregory waking up locked in the Lost and Found room.
Gregory wakes up in the Lost and Found area in FNAF: Security Breach and tries to contact Freddy, but is unsuccessful. Players will hear Vanessa telling Gregory he's going to stay locked up until someone comes to get him, but the communication will end with an unsettling message from Vanny. If players don't find and use the Screwdriver right away, then Vanny will come in after a short time and attack Gregory.
Using the Screwdriver to Escape Vanny in FNAF: Security Breach
As soon as players wake up in the Lost and Found room in FNAF: Security Breach, they can use their flashlight to look around and locate the mystery prize box on the ground near the door. This box contains the Screwdriver, which is needed to escape the room and avoid a fatal encounter with Vanny who is lurking nearby. If players take too long to escape, Vanny will attack with a jump scare and kill Gregory, so players should grab the Screwdriver quickly and go through the vent on the other side of the small room.
When players escape the Lost and Found room, Vanny will be to the left skipping around, so players need to be careful not to be seen. Instead of running, players should hide in the vent they opened with the Screwdriver until Vanny skips away. Once Gregory is out of the Lost and Found room, the objective will be updated, and he can continue making his way to Freddy.
The Screwdriver can be used throughout the rest of the game to open up new settings in FNAF: Security Breach. Players will be able to use the Screwdriver on vents to take off the grates and open up a space to crawl through. However, there are some vents it doesn't work on, like the vent in the Rehearsal room which Freddy will break open. The Screwdriver is a useful tool that is unmissable in FNAF: Security Breach.
