When comparing Among Us and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach it can be hard to determine which game is more fun to play. Both games have jump scares and challenges for players to explore. While each title has its pros and cons, one clearly stands out above the other in regards to fun because of its features and the overall gameplay experience.

In Among Us, players will take on the role of either a crew member or an Impostor, and some may even get a special role, like the Shapeshifter in Among Us. Players need to complete tasks or take out the other crew members depending on their role, and only one team can win. Among Us connects players with their friends and offers a new experience each time a match starts, but it can become repetitive for players that don't get special roles or are consistently taken out early in the round.

FNAF: Security Breach follows Gregory as he tries to survive the terrifying Pizzaplex until 6:00 am when the front entrance will open again. He gets help from Freddy Fazbear, who has been featured in other games as an antagonist. Players will come across a variety of scary animatronics that constantly hunt and attempt to capture Gregory in FNAF: Security Breach. In this installment, players can solve puzzles, escape death, and explore the vast Pizzaplex.

FNAF: Security Breach is Much Scarier Than Among Us

FNAF Security Breach Nightmarionne

Both Among Us and FNAF: Security Breach have many opportunities for jump scares, but one clearly stands out as the scarier game. FNAF: Security Breach comes from a franchise with a long history of nightmarish animatronics and gruesome stories about missing children. Players can expect to spend a lot of time running from animatronics and avoiding security in FNAF: Security Breach.

Although an Impostor might sneak up on a crew member in Among Us, the game isn't actually scary. The initial surprise of being killed can make a player jump, but when compared to the likes of FNAF: Security Breach's dismantled Roxanne Wolf or an Endoskeleton, there's nothing to be truly fearful of in Among Us. For players that enjoy scarier games with intense gameplay, FNAF: Security Breach is the clear choice between the two.

Among Us is Less Predictable Than FNAF: Security Breach

Shapeshifter Adds A New Challenge In Among Us

In FNAF: Security Breach, the initial jumpscares may be worse than any in Among Us, but if players need to redo a part or replay the game, it becomes predictable. FNAF: Security Breach follows the same story each time, whereas Among Us offers more consistently unique experiences because the characters are all controlled by real people. Although the objectives start the same for each round in Among Us, the different imposters and varying playstyles of each individual make it more diverse than FNAF: Security Breach.

The other mechanic that makes it less predictable is the inclusion of special roles in Among Us both for the imposters and the crew members. Having a diverse, sometimes misleading, cast of characters makes the game more intense and forces players to consider multiple possibilities. For example, the Engineer can travel through vents, which may make them look like an imposter, but players will need to be certain or risk voting out the wrong person.

FNAF: Security Breach also has many surprises, but once players understand the mechanics or play through the game once, all of the surprises are gone. Although FNAF: Security Breach is scarier, Among Us has a higher replayability rate due to the new gameplay opportunities that come with competing against other players instead of AIs. However, without using mods, Among Us can become boring after several rounds even with the roles changing between characters.

FNAF: Security Breach Has More Content Than Among Us

Among Us is in some ways more replayable, but FNAF: Security Breach has multiple endings and more content to experience. Players don't need to go through the entire game to get each ending if they save before choosing one, but they can still have a unique experience when replaying FNAF: Security Breach if there are collectibles or story choices they missed the first time. For example, before Vanessa catches and locks up Gregory, players are able to choose either the Loading Docks or the Prize Counter as a potential escape route.

In Among Us, players may get different tasks or roles in each new match, but the object of the game never changes: crew members need to perform tasks and find the imposters, and imposters have to take out the crew. There are more challenges, like the Mazercise puzzle, in FNAF: Security Breach for players to complete by testing their skills. In Among Us, players need to rely more on luck and how well they can tell when someone is lying.

When a player dies in FNAF: Security Breach, they have to opportunity to keep trying until they're successful, but in Among Us most players, with the exception of the Guardian Angel, won't be able to participate much until the next round. For players that get taken out of the game early, Among Us can become boring very quickly. There are some frustrating challenges in FNAF: Security Breach, like turning on the generators, but it doesn't get boring with animatronics constantly looking for the player.

Among Us is a Multiplayer Experience & FNAF: Security Breach is Played Solo

Among Us PS4 PS5 Xbox Game Pass Release Date

The biggest draw for Among Us is the chance for players to connect, team up with, or compete against their friends. Being able to work together as crewmates or imposters gives players a fun and unique experience with their friends or even strangers. Among Us offers more connection with a community of fans than FNAF: Security Breach does. The only way to experience FNAF: Security Breach is by playing alone which heightens the sense of danger but takes away a player's chance to interact with their friends.

FNAF: Security Breach is More Fun Than Among Us

FNAF: Security Breach is the clear winner when it comes to which game is more fun. Among Us is an enjoyable game to play with friends, but it can get boring after a while, and there isn't a lot of content to explore. The bulk of the appeal for Among Us is that it's a multiplayer game with a few unexpected jump scares from friends. Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is a full game with hours of content, collectibles to find, and plenty of terrifying encounters to keep players on the edge of their seats.
