There are five hidden characters that players can unlock in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes: Byleth, Jeralt, Arval, Rhea, and Sothis. Some of the hidden characters can be unlocked through missions in the game, while others can only be unlocked after beating the game. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is a hack-and-slash game from Koei Tecmo, the second of this style for the franchise after the original Fire Emblem Warriors was released in 2017.

In Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, players follow the protagonist, Shez, as they choose one of three houses to follow throughout the game: the Black Eagles House, the Blue Lions House, or the Golden Deer House. However, in addition to these, players can unlock five more hidden characters to recruit as fighters.

How to Unlock Byleth and Jeralt in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes Unlock Hidden Characters Byleth Jeralt

Byleth and Jeralt can be unlocked during the main story of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, but it is a challenge easily missed. During the story campaign, find Byleth and Jeralt in chapter 10; it does not matter which campaign/house players chose. A warning message will appear telling players that their actions will affect the rest of the story. Players will only get this one chance to unlock Byleth and Jeralt, so save before continuing.

During the battle, players will encounter Byleth. When this happens, run back to the headquarters. Do not fight Byleth, but instead continue the path back to the start of the map. A new mission will appear, asking players to defeat the new enemy that spawns before Byleth arrives. Complete this side mission, and Byleth and Jeralt will join the players' party. Fighting will be easier if players are at a high enough level; try farming XP in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes to raise character levels.

How to Unlock Arval, Rhea, and Sothis in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes Unlock Hidden Characters Arval Rhea Sothis

Arval, Rhea, and Sothis can only be unlocked in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes once players have completed the game. Additionally, Arval can only be unlocked is players have also unlocked Byleth and Jeralt during the chapter 10 side mission.

Once players have completed Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, open up the endgame file or a new game plus save file. From there, players can unlock Arval, Rhea, and Sothis with Renown. Renown is a currency that can be used from the Journal in the players' Personal Quarters. This area is unlocked through the Base Camp in Chapter 4. To collect Renown, complete Main Quests or volunteer at Base Camp. These Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes missions are all based on combat. Once players have completed the game, they can spend Renown in their Journal to unlock Arval, Rhea, and Sothis, but Arval is only unlockable if Byleth and Jeralt were unlocked during the previous completed save.
