While Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is set to appear on-screen in the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife, he'll soon appear behind the camera as well. Wolfhard's big break came in the form of the Netflix original series, Stranger Things. Starring as energetic Mike Wheeler, Wolfhard's performance was generally well-received by fans and critics, with many pointing out that his character only grew stronger with each season.

Wolfhard would go on to star as Richie Tozier in the 2017 adaptation of Stephen King's It, which would also serve as the young actor's first feature film. Once again, Wolfhard's performance was highly praised by fans and critics, who considered his portrayal of the character a "show-stealer." Since then, the Stranger Things actor has appeared in other high-profile films, including The Addams Family and It Chapter Two. Wolfhard also landed the role of Trevor in the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife and is poised to voice the character Lampwick in Guillermo del Toro's upcoming stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio. While the actor may be busy in front of the camera, it seems he may also have some behind-the-scenes work lined up.

However, not much else is known about the film at this time. View NME's quote about Wolfhard directing his first movie below:

"When Wolfhard talks about his time on any set, you get the impression he is constantly absorbing and observing, keen to learn absolutely everything about the craft. It makes sense – he has designs on becoming a filmmaker himself. He’s already written and directed a short film called Night Shifts, and is currently working on his first feature-length film. 'It’s a horror-comedy-slasher movie that takes place at a camp,' he says, keeping the rest of the details close to his chest for now."

The young actor has had the chance to not only work on big-budget films and TV shows, but he's also had the chance to work with big-name actors as well.
