There are 26 mounts players can find within the landscape of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, of these there are nine epic mounts, The Guardian is among them. This golden pegasus is one of the three pegasus mounts within the game, all of which are considered epic mounts. Epic mounts are fully leveled, meaning they come with the max amount of stamina available.
The first epic mount that a player tames grants them the Oceancookie achievement/trophy. Taming every single mount in the game grants players with the Fenyx the Horsemaster achievement/trophy. While epic mounts are the highest leveled, they come at the price of being easily spooked. As such, players should always save before attempting to sneak up on any of the epic mounts.
Where to Find The Guardian, the Epic Golden Pegasus in Immortals: Fenyx Rising
The Guardian is one of the four metallic mounts players can find, not including Antikhytera, the clockwork horse. The other metallic mounts available are Laurion, Khroma, and Sheena. Laurion is an epic silver pegasus. Khroma is a second level silver horse. Sheena is a second level gold horse. The Guardian can be found by himself wandering in the northwestern side of the Grove of Kleos nearest the fast travel point named Guardian's Hill.
While epic mounts are more skittish, players can take certain approaches to get closer to them quickly and only sneak for a short period of time. The Guardian is on one of the lower plateaus, so players can jump down from the higher plateau and float down nearby to him before crouching and sneaking up on him. Either way, players should still be careful not to startle him too much. If a red exclamation point pops up over his head, stop dead until he's calmed down again. This will keep The Guardian from running off.
Once the player is close enough they will be prompted to tame The Guardian. Make the selection and the animation to show that he respects the player will go. As soon as this is over the player can ride the Guardian anytime. He will be within the player's inventory along with all of their other mounts. This will allow the player to summon any of their mounts at any time throughout the entirety of the game. While the pegasus mounts do not fly, they still are much faster ways to travel across the island.
