Despite being early access, Grounded has already amassed a large base of players and has included so much to do and so many hidden areas to explore. The game centers on a few kids who have shrunken down to the size of ants and who must survive the perils of their own backyard. To do this, they will need to find resources, craft armor, weapons, and tools, and get better at fighting the various insects and spiders that populate the yard. In many places on the map, players can find hidden and mysterious caves containing special loot that can make survival easier.
One such location is the Secret Ant Cave, also called the Ant Graveyard. In this macabre hidden location, players will be greeted by rows of worker ant heads on pikes or hanging from the cave walls. Here, players will also find a disturbingly human skeleton, as though another person once shrunk down and tried to survive. On the skeleton, players can find a powerful weapon called the Rotten Ant Club. This weapon has decent stats and is particularly good for stunning creatures. Players can also find a few ant heads in a tiny backpack. Here's how to find the Secret Ant Graveyard Cave and get to the loot inside.
Secret Ant Graveyard Cave Location in Grounded
The Ant Graveyard Cave is located in the far southeast corner of the map in the darker-shaded marsh region. The cave is near the Flingman Flying Disc landmark and the Textbook and Hedgeberry SCAB schemes. It is southwest of the Hedge Lab location.
When players reach the birdbath, they will need to go to the left of it along a tree branch. They should follow the path up the tree branch toward the brick wall.
Traveling along the brick wall, they should come across a crack between two bricks. It is easy to miss because it blends into the rest of the wall. Climbing up the path, players will want a light source, as the cave is too dark to see in otherwise.
From there, they will come upon the rows of decapitated ant heads. They will want to head all the way to the back of the cave and turn to the left when they see the two ants hanging from the wall. Next to a rock on the cave floor, they will see a decapitated human skeleton and the Rotting Ant Club resting beside it. On the other side of the rock, they will find the loot bag containing the ant heads.
In addition to the Club and the ant heads, the player will find a Lean-To and a few miscellaneous ant parts and eggs to loot as well.
Grounded is in early access and is available for PC and Xbox One. The full version is set to launch in 2021.
