The Phoenix is one of the many monsters within Sir Hammerlock's Legendary Hunt across the worlds of Borderlands 3. This creature is one of the more dangerous, as it has three full lives, but also one of the easier ones to find. Luckily, the Phoenix is in a fairly open area unlike the majority of the Legendary Hunt creatures.

Remember for farming that depending on the player's Mayhem Mode level they will receive different rewards. The higher the player's Mayhem, up to three, the higher quality loot, more XP, and Eridium/Cash can be gotten from kills. However, this is in exchange for stronger enemies with more health, armor, and shields.

Where to Find the Legendary Phoenix in Borderlands 3

While the Phoenix's location is more open to the world, it still isn't in a spot that players would likely go or see it. Players can find the Phoenix on the planet Pandora within The Splinterlands. For players who have already fully explored this map, they likely will be able to see the icon for this creature on the map. It is identified by a dark green skull icon that should be up on a hill near the center of the map. For players who don't see this icon and haven't explored it, here are in-depth details on how to reach the Phoenix.

Starting at Pitt's Stop near the bottom of the map, spawn and vehicle to take and drive north. Following the paved road, head on through the underpass and keep left. Players should see a pathway of ledges leading up to the side of a cave. At the top of this small hill, the Phoenix will come out of the cave mouth.

Players should remember that the Phoenix gets three lives as it flies around in a fiery ball of chaos, blasting everything away. This means they should bring weapons that are steady, damaging, and fairly easy to aim. Outside of this, depending on how much a player plans on farming the Phoenix they can receive a legendary Deathless artifact for killing the bird. Deathless artifacts will reserve all but one hit point while increasing the player's shield capacity, increase the shield's recharge rate, and reduce the shield's recharge delay. Granting the player a second or even third chance at life much like the Phoenix.
