Manaphy is one of the legendary Pokemon available in Pokemon Snap. This guide will show players where they can find it. Pokemon Snap only has a handful of legendary Pokemon available to capture. Since the game is so focused on making unique animations for each Pokemon in its roster, the game only has about 200 out of the possible 800+ Pokemon available in the series. Players will be rated on the photos they take. The higher quality of the pictures, the better the Star rating the player will get from the professor. For those looking to 100% the game, they will need to capture at least 4 different photos of each of the Pokemon. Legendary Pokemon can be easy to miss if players don't know where to look. This guide will show players the location of the underwater monarch, Manaphy.

Manaphy is one of the sea guardians that protect the ocean. In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, players were only able to obtain this Pokemon by transferring a special egg from the Pokemon Rangers title. Pokemon Rangers was a fun spin-off title where the player would capture Pokemon using their stylus. These Pokemon would then help the player solve puzzles in the area and then be released back into the wild. Manaphy was one of the most difficult Pokemon to encounter in the 4th generation titles because of its process of capture. Here is how players can find it in Pokemon Snap.

Players will need to beat the main story before they encounter this legendary Pokemon. Here are all the possible locations to encounter Manaphy in Pokemon Snap.

  • Maricopia Reef Level 2 at Night: Wait until you reach the point where you see Inkay. Look right to find a Crystabloom Flower. Throw an Illumina Orb at it. Next, there will be a small island straight ahead of the whirlpool with another Crystabloom Flower. Throw the next orb at it. Now, players will be able to find Manaphy hanging near the Wailord. Players can then use the Music Player to get it to dance. Throw another orb at it for more points.
  • Maricopia Reef Level 2 at Night Version 2: This needs to be done on a separate run of the level. Play through the level until you pass Primarina. Scan to find an alternate path and take it. You'll come across 4 Lapras' so hit them with orbs and then play some music. Once the music plays, Manaphy will appear nearby the Lapras.

Pokemon Snap has been a dormant series for well over two decades. Hopefully, it won't be too long before the next entry. This is a series that deserves way more love.
