Ho-Oh is one of the legendary Pokemon available in Pokemon Snap. This guide will show players where they can find them. Pokemon Snap finally has a new entry in its series after over 20 years. The original released back on the Nintendo 64 and features about half of the original Pokedex. This was way back when there were only 151 Pokemon to choose from. Now, the mainline titles have well over 800 to choose from. New Pokemon Snap has selected 20o+ Pokemon for players to take pictures of. While on a limited track, players can capture pictures of Pokemon in their natural habitats. The game does feature a handful of legendary Pokemon that can be difficult to encounter. This guide will show players how they can find and unlock Ho-Oh.

For starters, players will need to complete the main story before they have access to find Ho-Oh. Once the game is completed, players can take on new tasks from Todd. In this case, players will want to take on the "A Slice of Rainbow" request where Todd will mention seeing a legendary Pokemon around a volcano. This guide will show players where they can find Ho-Oh to complete this challenge.

Where To Find The Legendary Ho-Oh in Pokemon Snap

Pokemon Ho-Oh 3

To find Ho-Oh after taking on this request, the player will need to head to Fireflow Volcano Level 3. Players will have 4 different chances to interact with Ho-Oh. Here is a breakdown of each of its possible locations.

  • Location 1: At the beginning of the level. If the player looks to the right, they will find a crack between two mountains. Ho-Oh will fly by. Make sure to take a picture of it.
  • Location 2: After passing the dried-up lava passageway, Ho-Oh will be flying high above the rocks.
  • Location 3: It's at the second location but turn around completely to get another chance to capture the photo above.
  • Location 4: Players will need to have captured the first 3 location photos to unlock this one. If the player has done this, they will find 3 Ho-Oh features inside of the cave. Interact with them all and Ho-Oh will appear up close and personal. This is the best way to get the highest quality shots of this Pokemon.

This will complete Todd's request and get the player an easy 4-star photoPokemon Snap is one of the best Pokemon spin-off titles out there. Hopefully, this means the world won't have to wait another 20 years for the next one.
