Epic Games is always coming with new ways to insert crazy challenges into Fortnite. There are new ones every single week that range from the standard "kill people with this weapon" to the more specific "find this unique item in a specific location". These challenges are a lot of the reason that Fortnite has remained so popular after all of this time. They give players a way to keep things feeling fresh every week.
One of the most recent challenges has players searching for rings in the Steamy Stacks area. These floating rings have been present in challenges for a few weeks now, but this is the first time that players have had to search for them at Steamy Stacks. This guide will show players where they are located and how to collect them.
Fortnite: How to Collect Steamy Stacks' Floating Rings
Luckily there are only four rings to find and Steamy Stacks is a pretty small area. Players will find each of them in a respective corner of the island. Players will just need to travel over to Steamy Stacks and snatch them up as quickly as possible in order to get back in the fight.
This sadly isn't as easy as just picking them up though. These rings are floating high up in the sky, so players won't be able to just jump and grab them. The only way to really pick them up is to build a tower up to where they are and pluck them out of the sky. This is why players should probably choose to do this at the beginning of a match before other players are fully stocked and players won't have to worry about combating the circle closing in on them. The storm also makes it more difficult to see.
Players will need to collect a decent amount of materials before trying to build their way to the rings. Once they do they could be brave and build a simple staircase up there, but this holds a lot of risks. If enemy players see this, they can very easily shoot the platforms underneath the player and kill them. It is much smarter to just build a simple tower all the way up and not risk death so early in a match. Once repeat this for each ring they will have completed this Week 5 challenge.
