Victreebel can be difficult to come across in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can obtain their own. When the game originally released back in 2016, players only had to focus on capturing the first 151 Pokemon. As the years have gone by, more generations have been added to the game, expanding the roster of the game. With that being said, it can be a bit difficult to try and come across some of this older Pokemon. This is especially important for newer players who didn't jump in on the initial hype. Finding the first-generation Pokemon can be hard outside of events, but it's not impossible. Here is what players can do to find and capture their own Victreebel.
The player's best bet in most recent history came in the form of the Kanto Tour. This was a premium event Niantic held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series. During this event, all 151 Pokemon were obtainable for a limited time and even with their Shiny forms. For some Pokemon, this is the first time these Shiny forms have existed in the game. Although, this event happened earlier in the year and there shows no sign of it making a return any time soon. There are still ways for players to obtain their own Victreebel. This guide will show players how.
How To Find (& Catch) Victreebel in Pokemon Go
In order to get a Victreebel, the player will first need to obtain either a Bellsprout or a Weepinbell. The best bet for encountering a Bellsprout is by using a Mossy Lure Module. This item when attached to a PokeStop will increase the spawn rate of Grass, Bug, and Poison Pokemon within the area for 30 minutes. There is no guarantee that Bellsprout will appear but this is your best bet to find it. After you capture one, you will need 25 Candy to evolve it into a Weepinbell and then an additional 100 Candy to evolve it into a Victreebel. Players can see Bellsprout as their Buddy to increase the amount of candy it gets while walking. It may take a while, but Victreebel is an excellent addition to the game.
There will likely be another Kanto event happening in the near future. Kanto is the main region of the Pokemon series and the games have returned back to this location time and time again. Hopefully, this event will make it much easier to encounter Bellsprout. As Spring continues, maybe an event will be focused on Grass-type Pokemon, making it easier to encounter. Only time will tell. Just make sure to keep a sharp eye when it does appear.
