Treecko is one of the starter Pokemon from the Hoenn region. At the start of every Pokemon adventure, players are given the option between 1 of 3 available Pokemon. This Pokemon will join the player throughout their entire adventure and will be the Pokemon the trainer builds the strongest bond with. Fortunately, finding the starter Pokemon for the Hoenn Collection are amongst the easiest to find in the game. This guide will show players a few ways they can increase their chances of finding a Treecko.
How To Find (& Catch) Treecko in Pokemon Go (Hoenn Collection)
As mentioned, the starter Pokemon of the Hoenn region are amongst the easiest to capture in the bunch. Here are a few different ways players can increase their chances of finding Treecko.
- Finding it in the wild: Hoenn spawns have been increased for this event.
- Using an Incense: This will increase the Pokemon's spawn rate for an hour. Players might even find other Pokemon they need for the Hoenn Collection.
- Using a Mossy Lure: This will increase the spawn rate of Grass-type Pokemon. Perfect for locating a Treecko.
- Complete Field Research Task: Finish the "Catch 3 Weather-Boosted Pokemon" challenge to be rewarded with one of the three starters as an encounter.
From experience, the best thing to do would be to use an Incense. Not only is the Incense good for Treecko, but players will likely find some of the other required Pokemon needed for this challenge. Treecko might be amongst the easier to find in this bunch but Pokemon like Bagon and Nincada might cause trainers a bit more trouble. Make sure to complete these challenges before the end of the week to receive that special medal. Fortunately, no Shadow Pokemon to find this week.
